Went for Mother’s Day, they very kindly moved us to the main room where the entertainment was going to be seen as we were originally put out the front on a random table. The value for money was great! And if you parked there you got £2 back from the car park ticket against drinks which was a great incentive. The roast dinner was huge and it was great! The only downside was my roast potatoes weren’t crispy, they almost felt undercooked and like they had been sat there for a long time. There was a young girl on service and she was the main person I saw on the floor and she was always smiling and always happy to help! The entertainment was great as well :) overall had a great time!

A friendly local pub. My fist time in the area and I turned up in full cycling gear. This normally gets a few snipey comments which ignore, but not here. Very welcoming even when I ordered a veggie breakfast and orange juice. One of the regulars showed me where I could safely store my bike and I enjoyed a nice 90 minutes in the sunny beer garden. I wouldn't describe it is a 'Gastropub' but my meal was good and there little or nothing I would find to grumble about. If you want a friendly place to have a drink and a bite to eat, i don't think you could do any better locally.

Never ordered from here before, so I thought I'd give it a try. They give good portions. I enjoyed the top doughnut, chips, onions rings, bacon, cheese, coleslaw and salad. The burger meat tasted nice but sadly it was grisly throughout and I couldn't eat the bottom doughnut of the burger because it was completely squashed, soggy and inedible. I wouldn't try their burgers again and I would recommend to the restaurant for home delivery to place the 2nd doughnut inside the box to keep it from getting ruined. I would eat from there again, but would try something else. Thanks

One of my favourite non chain pubs in Dunstable. This is a Big place and in the 1990s friends and I came here frequently on a Saturday night to the butler's bar which is the bottom end of the pub, it used to be a lively bar with music from a D.J. and a dance floor and then we would move on to Ritzy Nightclub and all its next incarnations. The main bar of Sugar Loaf used to be for the slightly older crowd.

So as it is now it's pretty much in tune with all the other places struggling for the piece of the pie but seems to do ok although the back end of the pub seems empty of most. I 've not eaten here ever but diners seem happy with their experience. Drinks are of reasonable price and it's usually a friendly atmosphere, this is an ideal place to bring a date during the week for a quiet drink or bite as the regulars tend to sit near the bar and people who like to get to know each other or catch up usually sit in the adjacent area.

All in All its got a homely feeling with the slightly town pub culture of not being too Loyal to...

I visited this pub last night with my daughter and my friend with her daughter. I’m a middle aged professional woman and we visited after a meal out in Leighton Buzzard. I have never in my life been treated the way that I was treated by their ‘security’ staff. I was man handled by one of their staff after sitting down on a chair near to the bar. No warning was given, he just came up behind me and grabbed me to move me. I complained to the door staff and was shouted at, bullied and then told to leave the premises. These men are awful people, I did not feel protected in these premises as I should have done. I’m a 5ft 5 middle aged woman and felt intimidated by the people they pay to look after people’s safety. I tried to contact them via messenger and was then blocked on Facebook. I feel very let down by the managers and owner of this...

Went here for lunch with a friend. The food was exactly what you expect from a pub, nothing amazing but pleasant enough. Good sized portions so good value for money.

The tables were not the cleanest, but I believe the pub turns into a club at night so it's never going to get very clean.

The staff were really friendly and happy to help with a smile. In service this is quite rare so well done them!

It's quite traditional on the interior and I feel is due in the next year or so for a refresh, as the bar side was a bit grubby.

I would go here again as I wasn't looking for al a carte but rather quick simple pub grub. It was easy, cheap and friendly. I did experience some rather loud and shouty regulars which I found very off-putting but you win some you loose some. I would still return for a cheap quick lunch...
