Great ambience and deco, busy for a mid weekday evening. The complimentary bread and chilly sauce and garlic sauce with olives were a tasty treat really enjoyable. For drinks the classic virgin mojito and frozen mocktail both were really refreshing and chilled. For a cold starter had Saksuka which is aubergine with potato chunks and peppers in tomato sauce was a delight to eat. For a hot starter had the Sigara Boregi a rolled pastry filled with feta cheese & spinach. The pastry was so crispy and thin when you took a bite the cheese just oozed out and melted in your mouth with the spinach yum yum! For main had lamb chops which came with rice and couscous. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked and really succulent enjoyed them! The rice and couscous was a bit too much would have preferred to exchange them with chips but when we asked it was not allowed so had to get chips separate. Also had the mixed kebab which was lamb shish, chicken shish and adana kofte again served with rice and couscous. From this the lamb shish and the adana kofte was really tasty and perfectly cooked however the chicken shish was a bit of a disappointment it was too dry and seem over cooked! Again we were not able to exchange the rice and couscous for chips which was a shame coz it meant the rice and couscous went for a waste. Overall nice experience but it’s a shame we could not exchange the rice and couscous for chips and did not enjoy the over cooked chicken shish! Hence why 3 stars for me as it ended up being a little expensive!

So today we went to celebrate an anniversary. 7 people Ordered our food we ordered 2 Greek salads one without tomatoes We got one but the other was a green salad. So we told them and they bought us another. Which was again incorrect but the 13 year old who was waiting was too hungry to wait again so ate it They got my starter wrong as well. They then served a lamb moussaka that I nearly broke my tooth on it was rock hard around the edge So I sent this back 10 minutes and nothing So I asked what was happening and he was “oh did you want another” Well yes coz I’m hungry! Waited to then be told the whole batch was the same! Basically the chef overcooked it! From what I did taste it was dry and tasted reheated and not actually fresh or cooked that day! At that point I was just wanting to go home as the whole table had finished there food and I had nothing I then said I’m going home hungry and rather than apologise he said I should have ordered something else Which I could have but the place is I’ve priced £25 for hard moussaka and the portion was small So I didn’t want to The food that was correct and not hard was quite nice according to those who ate it but all agreed way over priced I won’t be going again! I do however recommend going to Savci in stopsley. Much nicer, better portions, better food and definitely better service. The people are much friendlier. Also checked them out as a company and they only have a 3 star hygiene rating! Not great

The food definitely makes it deserve the 5 stars. The chicken is cooked absolutely perfectly to be juicy but not burnt. The same can be said the the lamb, cooked amazingly. The kofta is not my thing but the rest of the family enjoys it. But the absolute best dish there has got to be either the chicken Sautéed (The one in the photo) or the chicken princess. Both are grilled chicken with mushrooms and either a rich tomato sauce or a creamy and cheesy sauce, would highly recommend. I've also heard the moussaka is good, but am not a fan of it myself. The staff are also exceptionally friendly towards customers and are overall a great joy. Although, the only downside of this restuarant is the prices, that I've realised have started to go up quite significantly. We are a family of 6 and whenever we go out to eat, even with ordering just large water for us to share, the bill is easily over £100. Overall it's a great place to go on special occasions or just for their great food in general. Would highly recommend all to try it, even if you don't plan on coming often it's an experience to be had.

MANAGER THREATENED TO ATTACK ME IN FRONT OF MY CHILDREN! Meal started off OK and the food was adequate but the service was very slow. Problems started after I had to ask for glasses with the drinks, they looked at me like we were being unreasonable as they expected us to drink straight from the bottle like we we at some underage house party. We had noticed they were adding extra tables as more and more customers were walking in, clearly the Covid restrictions were just a distant thought and cash was king! We started to fill uncomfortable when the place was getting overcrowded and tables of more than six were being seated. Tables were no more than a foot away from each other and it really become alarming when they began to seat customers on temporary tables in the walkway. We cut our meal short and asked for the bill. 40+ minutes passed and after asking three times we attempted to pay. Normally we would have just given up and payed at the counter but the new rules say we are unable to walk around and can only be served as table service. Our two young children were now extremely tired and falling asleep. We asked to speak with manager to raise our concerns and after 2 people approached us pretending to be the manager they were not interested in our concerns. We finally got the manager out after demanding to discuss the issues with him, he arrived at our table with no mask and a dirty shirt which only partially covered his protruding belly. Not exactly professional! At this point he raised his voice and said it our fault as they are busy and we should get up and pay. When I addressed the Covid rules on table service he became irate, we continued to discuss our concerns about the fact the rules were not being followed and tables were packed over crowded. One big issue we raised is that at no point were we or any other customers asked to use track and trace, the manager told us they did not have to use that and it was 'optional' I informed them that that was not the current law and offered to show them the new legislation on the government website, at this point he raised his voice further and told me to shut up as he was only worried about the other customers hearing his ridiculous replies to our issues. He then said if I don't shut up he will punch me all in front of my children and other customers. He attempted to get in my face and bang the table at which point 3 other staff members who were crowding and trying to intimidate us pulled him away. Customers were shocked and we just paid and went to leave. The manager then waited by the exit and aggressively approached me on the way out while I was carrying my young child in my arms, we swore at us and followed us out. We took a video of the ordeal and have reported to the authorities. I would seriously think before going to this...

Here’s the harshest possible review based on your input:

“Worst Experience in Dunstable – Absolute Disaster from Start to Finish”

If I could give negative stars, I would. This is, hands down, the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. I decided to host 25 clients at this place, expecting at least a basic level of professionalism, but what I got was utter embarrassment.

Let’s start with the staff—rude, unprofessional, and completely uninterested in providing service. From the moment we walked in, it was clear they had no clue how to handle a group booking. I went to the restaurant 2 hours before with every single order, labeled with names, starters, and mains, to make things easier for them, but they still managed to screw it up. Orders were wrong, delayed, or swimming in oil.

The food? A total joke. Plain rice with absolutely no seasoning—I could have cooked better at home in my sleep. One of my clients had to send their meal back because it was literally drenched in oil. She didn’t even want anything else because the place had already ruined her appetite. Lamb and rice? I’ve had more flavor and effort in a microwave meal from the corner shop.

When I tried to give constructive feedback, the waiter had the nerve to get upset, as if I wasn’t justified in pointing out their failures. The service charge? An absolute scam. You’d get better service from a vending machine.

And let’s talk about the atmosphere—falling apart, dirty, and depressing. This place has no business calling itself a restaurant. I even joked that McDonald’s gives you more value for your money, and honestly, I wasn’t kidding. The food there would have been an upgrade compared to the bland, oily disaster they served here.

In short, avoid this place at all costs. It’s not just bad—it’s a complete waste of time, money, and energy. For a group booking, they proved they couldn’t handle even the basics of hospitality. Never again.

Final Verdict: If you’re looking to ruin your evening and embarrass yourself in front of guests, this is the place for you. For everyone else, save your money and sanity. Dunstable deserves...

We decided to come to this restaurant for a friends 18th birthday. We were all really exited to come out here as we had heard good things about this place. When we arrived we had a little wait until we were seated. I immediately noticed the fact a wedding was going on and children were running around. I understand that is not their fault but it starting messing up our experience there as they kept grabbing our chairs and running around us. The server brought out complimentary bread and left. Once we finished it he brought out drinks but forgot one. We waited 10 minutes for it and it still wasn’t brought out. I had to ask him where my friends drink was and it came out a couple minutes later. He then brought our food out not cleaning the table and also forgetting someone’s food. We didn’t have to ask this time but we did have to wait another 10 minutes. When we went to the bathroom the females bathroom looked trashed there was no toilet paper and there was empty toilet rolls in the sink. It’s look disgusting. When we went back to the table and everyone was finished they still hadn’t cleared any dirty plates but were clearing others dirty plates of other tables. We asked for a water before leaving and they forgot to give us the water until we asked. When we went to leave they tried to charge us £20 service charge. So when we went to ask them to take it off they said they can’t and it’s “owners rules” that we have to pay. So they kept trying to get it off as we didn’t have much service at all and they split the bill. Once paying the bill they went to go and sort out the service charge where we shortly found out the put the service charge in our split bills without telling us. I am honestly so upset because we were all really happy to come here to eat and our...
