The Olive Tree Cafe — Restaurant in England

Been in a few months ago with grandma and was lovely so Me and my cousin Been in with 2 babys today and women behind counter was very judgmental as we are 2 younger parents (21 not the youngest!) Older women just seemed very rude, one younger lady who worked there was very nice but atmosphere was awful would not recommend. Wasn't busy when we walked in but still hesitated almost turned us away when we first got there. Edit- as I can't reply, we was offered an highchair 1 time by the young lady as i stated who was really nice to us, but there was no room for highchair as they was very hesitant to let us move the tables In the first place just made it a really uncomfortable Atmosphere I had to do what I had to do in the situation we was put in, I don't normaly complain anywhere but this one had to be done, sorry if you feel like your staff did nothing wrong but there was a couple who made it very uncomfortable for us also I would not let my child fall off the table! I just had to make the best out of a bad situation as any mother would when there child needed feeding an was then to late to go else where. I just don't think some of the staff liked a younger generation in there an that's absolutely fine just wish I knew before going in the second time without my grandma. I did say it was nice the last time I went that's why we come in again as I tried to actually recommend but please don't try make me out to be a bad mother as i would never put her in danger at all! I went in on the 21/8/25. When I had ordered, I sat down & I could smell smoke. Also there was this horrible smell in the cafe as though things hadn't been washed properly & I'm very fussy. So I smelt the knife & fork, they smelt awful like they hadn't been washed properly, so that put me off wanting to eat the food to start with. I had 1 fried egg, 3 rashes of bacon (even though I'd only paid for 1) mushrooms, beans & 2 toast. When it came, everything was piled on top of one another instead of being separate, so I had to separate it. The egg wasn't cooked enough & everything tasted awful! You could see the fat on the mushrooms. I only had one bit of everything then left it. I dread to think how much oil they use for the egg, bacon & mushrooms.
