I never anticipated encountering such a mind blowing establishment in Derby, but my recent visit left me utterly impressed. It was an extraordinary experience, and what added to its charm was the presence of a children's play area that enthralled the kids. It's safe to say that I've discovered my new favorite destination in Derby. While I've frequented Phat Buns in other cities across the Midlands, this particular branch stands out as a flagship location that exudes exceptional quality. The culinary experience was exceptional, and I must commend Manager Zaid for going above and beyond to accommodate my family's needs. Phat Buns' cheeseburgers have always held a special place in my heart, and in my honest opinion, they reign supreme. The milkshakes, too, were a revelation. In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend Phat Buns for any meal of the day, whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Their menu caters to a wide range of preferences, be it for vegetarians, vegans, or carnivores like myself. This establishment truly has something to offer everyone.

1st visit We had the phat bun burgers, we enjoyed them, and will return again. The little enjoyed the burger meal with the tater tots. 2nd visit ( so readers are informed) This time we went for the chicken burger meal and philly steak. I had to revisit my rating because the prices are astronomical. The chicken burger on its own was almost £8 and philly steak £9. So considering the price the chicken burger fillet was not big enough and on the thin side, and nothing special, just a few tomatoes and gherkins thrown on top. The philly steak again youde expect a decent amount of meat and fried onions..but was also skimped. Better off going to subways. Ive had phat buns from other locations, generally priced on premium side, meals do taste good, but you'll have to double on your burgers to feel like you've had anything, but then you have to pay extra £2.50 or something like that. Whoever's owning this branch, I feel is being stingy on portions, probably a stingy person in real life.

We ordered a buffalo spicy burger, a make your own (only lettuce) fries 2 diet cokes and 2 portions of tenders (garlic parm and bbq) it was £40 !! The food took 25 minutes to be ready, went upto the counter to collect to find they had forgotten the tenders. She said I'll bring them out, perfect. When they arrived they were mixed in the same tray touching. My partner is allergic to cheese so not a great start. She asked if I wanted a dip , my partner replied bbq, we never saw that dip ! The bread on the buffalo burger was stale. The meat in the plain burger was bland and the lettuce was wilted and brown in places. Would not recommend. For £40 we'd rather have got to McDonald's and got twice the amount of food, Reliably and half the price !! To top it off they never gave us wipes with the chicken tenders like usual so walked away with sticky fingers !

Finally a place in derby that offers great food at superb value. We have tried a number of items on the menu and this is the first place where you can order anything and trust it to taste amazing. The food tasted fresh with qaulity ingredients being used . So much to choose from with such a diverse menu. So far we have tried the rib sandwich , classic chicken phat meal and my wife who is an extremely fussy eater rated it 10-10. The chicken wings with thai sweet source were hands down the best wings we ever tasted . The classic chicken burger also a hit . The sides which included potato tots were delicious and with sweet potato fries also an option you will never get bored. We were so impressed we have just ordered breakfast which includes sausage + egg mcmuffin so we will leave another review on the breakfast soon. The service is superb very polite and helpful. We could not get to the shop due to road works so a staff member brought the food out to us nearby . There were some drinks missing from the order and when we called back they had a driver come and drop them off including an extra one for free . All in All a great experience with great food at good prices . These guys have just opened up and as they are the only place that offer a host of halal options especially with the breakfast menu we hope you are successful. ...

I'm from Glasgow, down in Derby with my business partner for work, staying nearby thought this place looks nice and clean, never heard of this franchise before, so I was pretty excited to be trying a new different angus burger. I placed my order for both of us, coming just shy of £40, was paying cash only to be told by the server that he can't take Scottish notes, after a discussion over the phone with his manager he confirmed that he couldn't accept my cash. I said to the server that I would speak to the manager who promptly came down to the till area saying "sorry, these are the rules, I can't go against the management" (leaving me thinking thought you were the management). Couldn't be bothered going over the whole Sterling thing again, asked for them to cancel my order and left a huffy Scot. Went round the corner to Grillzilla and got served by nice curteous tall spectacled guy (think his name was Hakan) using my Scottish notes with no issue, we had a lovely meal there instead. If I could give this place a zero rating for...
