Absolutely amazing little cafe. Everything is completely gluten free (owner is coeliac) and lots of options if you're also dairy free. We were down on holiday and went three times in the week 😆 So gutted that we don't live closer. Though I see on Facebook the owner has started doing cakes by post so at least I can have some more of the delicious cakes! We tried the pancakes, French toast, cheese & onion pasties and the breakfast. All amazing!! The pancakes I had with almond milk, made from scratch were so so tasty. Also the battenburg and mocha stuffed cookie were divine! When you're used to only having only one or two options and then sat worrying about cross contamination or if you've been given the wrong meal, to then go to a completely safe cafe where you can eat everything you see is so awesome I really can't put it into words. Thank you to the owners for the delicious food and experience we had. Five stars all round!!! I will return the next time I'm even remotely close by!

What an absolutely fantastic café! Lovely friendly staff, one of the most amazing cake selections I have ever seen, and everything gluten free. We had an amazing full English breakfast and got two scotch eggs (incredible after a few pitches of climbing at chair ladder) and rather too many cakes than were strictly necessary to take away. We will be back tomorrow to try a pasty or two. Thank you so much for your care and dedication, it is very much appreciated.

I thought my gluten intolerance would have prevented me enjoying a pasty in Cornwall, but I’m so glad to have been proven wrong. Absolutely delicious scotch eggs and baked goods were a nice discovery too, however the pasty was sensational. Lots of nice beef and potato and a good whack of pepper in surprisingly tasty gluten free pastry. If you could find a way of mailing pasties to me when I’m back home (a ‘posty’, if you will), I will be very happy.

What can I say that wasn't said last night for a beautiful birthday cake for my sister. It was the nicest cake I have ever eaten and as a pastry chef myself this is a tall order. To create a beautiful gluten free cake that looks and tastes as good as this one did and for a family who loves to bake is a tall order. However this was delivered high above any of our expectations. For the 2 in the family that needs GF it was amazing to relax around our food and there were no comments about it tasting different from the non GF needing family and friends. The entire event of nearly 100 absolutely loved it and we all had more than one piece. There was more than enough cake and it was absolutely delicious. The buttercream GOLD icing is no easy task but also tasted amazing and looked absolutely flawless! There is some serious skill and love gone in to this cake and we will be back for more. Thank...

I wish every town had a Phoenix Cafe. I am Coeliac with a soya allergy and also can’t eat onion ( 🙄). The owner had homemade pasties in the freezer that were suitable for me because she thinks of everyone ❤️ I haven’t had a pasty for many years and was really grateful.

She also went through all the cakes on offer saying what was and wasn’t safe for me. The lemon flapjacks were amazing and we did go back to buy more at the end of the holiday but hadn’t read the opening times so missed out!

I don’t know this lady’s name but she...
