Fantastic café! We had the most reasonably priced, superb salads. Too many ingredients to list here but the main "salad staples" such as lettuce, cucumber & tomatoes were absent. Instead the salad consisted of a variety of locally grown, tasty salad leaves, some we'd never seen before, with a mixture of other ingredients including very tasty toasted nuts and seeds. Then you can choose a combination of toppings from ham, boiled eggs, hummus, spicy olives, feta and more. The experts reckon we should eat 30 different plants a week. You will probably be well on the way to achieving that by in one meal by having a Super Salad here. There's more on the menu than salads. The other dishes sounded very tempting. The staff were friendly and the vibe was excellent. If I lived nearby this would be a daily experience. And the chips! It's so rare these days to find anywhere that still serves chips that started the day as potatoes. Virtually everywhere now serves chips from frozen. The chips here are simply the best. Worth a visit just for the chips in my opinion. I should point out that the photos are from my first visit over 5 years ago so prices would...

Lovely Breakfast here at Cafe Dog & Rabbit. Nice secluded little place in the centre of St Just. My partner & I ordered a Cornish breakfast each. The food was very good and nice and hot. They had no problem with switching two of the eggs for a replacement sausage as my partner doesn’t like eggs. The homemade hash browns were (Interesting) I’m not going to say I didn’t like them as I did. But they familiarised very similar to all I can say is a onion bhaji. But don’t knock it if you haven’t tried it unless your into your standard MD hash browns lol. We also took our dog Marmite, and he was offered a couple of times a dog treat off them which was very kind! Only downfall really is the one sausage on the full Cornish. I do like a couple of them on a breakie, especially when it’s supposed to be the full shebang. Would eat here again though. Thanks...

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Dog & Rabbit—a charming, family-run restaurant that truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The staff were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and looked after.

The food was simply outstanding—fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavour. Every dish had that unmistakable homemade quality, crafted with care and passion. You can really feel the love behind everything they do here, from the kitchen to the table.

Dog & Rabbit is one of those rare places that leaves a lasting impression—not just for the amazing food, but for the people and atmosphere that make it feel like a home away from home. We’re so glad we found it, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly, highly...
