Excellent leek and ham hock crumble and lovely sweets. Partner had a proper pie! steak and onion. Chips very scrumptious, veg very fresh. Waiting on staff can't do enough for you and are extremely welcoming. In a backwater but well worth booking a table as it is packed. Despite that the service is very quick. A good chef obviously. We have put this Inn on our todo list every time we are near Frodsham. I liked their ham crumble so much I'm now cooking it at home! We had a lovely hour and a half here - I could have quite happily carried on relaxing in their beer garden all afternoon. I eat out a lot and I can categorically declare this is the best pub I've visited in a long while. Many thanks 2023 visit- still excellent. Can recommend the fillet steak stroganoff!

Absolutely gorgeous pub. The pub itself is hundreds of years old and, from the outside, you can see its age but it is clearly very well-kept and looks the part. Inside is like a gateway to another era, a blast from the past but only in a good way. We were met by an extremely friendly and helpful member of staff who was happy to help in every way possible. The outside seating area is absolutely stunning and ideal for a warm sunny day. A fantastic selection of local beers and ales plus more modern drinks and the most amazing food ever. Honestly could not recommend this place highly enough!

A great old fashioned pub that serves tasty and value for money food. We had Sunday lunch there and it was delicious and fresh with excellent presentation. My only small criticisms would be the service was a little slow (40 minute wait for main course to be delivered) and the staff constantly asking if everything was ok with our food - we were actually asked this 3 times. Overall our visit was very good and I would certainly recommend the Ring o Bells to friends and family.

Great local pub run by passionate people! We have been looking for a local where the connection, conversation and libation satisfy the soul and the tummy! We have always loved the Ringers but been with my sister’s small humans so - “in and out”. The Beef Stroganoff was my go to dish which is and was amazing. But today we “popped” in after a walk and from start to finish it nourished our souls! Jaz served us and she was delightful. So many people in hospitality could learn a thing or two from this young lady. She made our experience fabulous. We had the tandoori chicken and prawns to start. The prawns were extremely well cooked. Stephen was quiet until he completed his dish. Our main course - Stephen had the chicken madras and I had the pie. You could tell we loved the food because we have no photos of any dishes! Anyway we both wanted to say a huge thank you to the whole team, Phil, Adele and Darren at the Ring O Bells. We felt warm, satiated and...

Massively under impressed. Cannot understand all of the glowing reviews. For the price paid the food was pretty poor. A very salty bacon chop, a burger and children’s nuggets = £40+ … no desserts, no coffees and just half a beer, a lemonade and a fruit shoot!! Yeouch!! And our grandson couldn’t even eat the battered nuggets!! (Why not bread them??) The menu is sparse and the prices are high for what is very, very ordinary pub food. Cannot recommend it and would never go back.

I do appreciate that everywhere is trying to simply survive, but the pricing structure of most eating houses has simply gotten silly and is driving custom to stay at home … ie: £12-15 for a humble burger is simply ridiculous by any standard. £8-10 for a baked potato…really?? If I am to have my pocket picked then I want to feel good about the food I’ve eaten and not leave thoroughly...
