The Royal Oak — Restaurant in England

Disappointing. Went to play dominoes against the Royal Oak in a local league. As the dedicated driver, fancied a ginger beer, but none available. We played in a small room off the main bar, where radiators were turned off, so although beautifully decorated for Christmas, the room was very cold. At the end of a dominoes match it is usual for the host pub to provide light refreshments in the form of sandwiches and or other buffet food, with a dish of chips. On this occasion nothing was forthcoming, so we had an early trip home, sadly not early enough to pick up some chips from the local chippy. Not impressed by the attitude of the people behind...

Hand made delicious pizza in a dog friendly pub. The pizzas were just the right size for lunch, but so delicious we wished we'd ordered 2! They offer vegan cheeses which was such a great find.
