The Shack — Restaurant in England

We visited this place for the first time after seeing such good reviews on Google. We had to visit when we were in the area. We ordered quite a lot, thinking we wanted to try the most interesting foods on the menu. We ordered two Kinder Bueno milkshakes, and omg! The most amazing milkshakes we had in a long time. Nice and thick with real ice cream. We love them! Just because of the milkshakes, we would come back for sure! We also ordered dirty fries, mango chicken wings, beefy bites, and two burgers: a double-stack burger and a Don-le-Clay burger. The dirty fries were okay, not really our cup of tea. The mango wings and beefy bites were a nice surprise. We enjoyed them a lot. The beef burger tasted like a McDonald's cheeseburger, just a little better. The biggest disappointment was the Don-le-Clay burger. The chicken was dry and absolutely tasteless. Even the halloumi was so bland, like eating air. And also, the burger was very spicy! It did not say it would be so spicy. Overall, we would come again to try more food from this place. This place has big potential. Spent £59. Reasonable prices for all the food we had. Went for a mid week dinner with 5 other friends. It is a small resturant, but we were able to walk in and sit at a table without any fuss. The service was really good, Ewan, our server, was very friendly and confident with his recommendations. There was a great selection of mains and sides and between the 6 of us we manage to try loads of different dishes. The food was SO good ! Full of flavour and the chicken was outstanding. What was quite unique was that we all felt pleasantly full at the end, but not horribly full like you do in some burger joints. We were even persuaded to get a milkshake for dessert (the jammy dodger one was divine). I would highly recommend to anyone in the area...

Wow. Atmos perfect for me (we hit this place up for the breakfast buns, b4 11am vibes), staff mega friendly, locality good... Parking about but only a few spaces exclusive for the eatery...

AND THE FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY BANGING!

Thoughtfully created and presented, attention to flavours/blends... Quality ingredients and mindful approach to what they sell/serve (no pork bacon/sausages but beef alternatives)

They also sell burgers, grilled sandwiches, pancakes and wings here btw, not just breakfast buns - open from early until late.

And the staff even held the door open for us upon exit (Nice touch 👍)
