The Station — Restaurant in England

Can't really rate anything else except for the service and interaction with the manager. I just walked into the pub (15/02/2024 13.40). I asked to book a table for the F1 season opening in Bahrain. The manager initially was very, very friendly, he said there was no problem at all. He showed me around, he suggested a booth in front of a really, really tiny TV.

I said the TV was too small and not worth it and asked if we could sit in front of the big screen. At this point he changed completely, he was no longer accommodating and shoved me off. He changed his tone and said that "As much as he loved F1, it completes with football". I asked why he changed his mind so suddenly, initially going out of his wits to make me happy and all of a sudden, no can do.

I for sure will not be going back, make what you will about this episode, but the guy was odd...

So according to your rationale I am not happy with your suggestion and you just cut me out and give know explanation. As simple as you're saying it is the fact is that you cut me off. Instead of giving me alternatives you sent me away without explaining.

I asked why you changed your mind so suddenly and you just didn't explain.

The Hove Station is by far the best pub in Hove! Since finding this gem a little over a year ago I now wont drink anywhere else! The staff are so friendly, their service is exceptional. It’s got everything you would hope to receive from a family run pub, the kind where the staff remember your name and your order! You’re made to feel like part of the family whether you’re a new face or a regular. The food is great (pizzas are top notch!) Great selection of drinks and lots great community and charity events. Alright, mate, if you’re lookin’ for a proper boozer with some good ol' fashioned pub vibes, The Station in Hove is where it’s at. It’s got that real, old-school feel to it, none of that fancy gastropub malarkey. Just a good pint and a bit of banter, like the pubs used to be, y’know?

The staff are sound as a pound, always up for a chat and make you feel right at home. And the locals? A proper friendly bunch, always got time for a natter about footie or whatever’s goin’ on in town. The beer’s cold, the atmosphere’s warm, and they’ve even got some cracking pub grub if you fancy a bite.
