Firstly, for the sake of transparency, I should state that I frequent this pub regularly and know the staff and landlady well. That said, I am also a tight git who will not waste money on paying for poor quality food or service. Since the Two Hangry Chefs have started preparing the meals, I have eaten there many times and am confident in taking my family and friends in to eat there too such is the quality of the food.
There is a good choice of dishes on the menu - possibly too much for the indecisive amongst you - and normally a couple of specials most days. For example, I had the home made Shepherds Pie yesterday and it was delicious, as was the pork belly I had as a starter.
My family also enjoyed their food too and the deserts were a particular success. The chefs are always keen to ensure that you are completely happy with your food, and whilst I have never had to, I am confident that if you were genuinely dissatisfied with any aspect of the meal, they would do their utmost to rectify things.
