We booked the brasserie for our Wedding Breakfast and we're glad we did! From the outset, Philip was so helpful in understanding what we wanted and was incredibly accommodating when planning a meal for 40+ people including vegetarian, vegan and and coeliac guests.

The brasserie room is frankly gorgeous and we could not have asked for a better place or atmosphere to celebrate our special day.

Philip and the team were attentive and the service was excellent. He went above and beyond, even taking a group photo of the wedding party as well as giving us a lovely keepsake before we left.

For the time we were there, we had the building to ourselves without interruption and it really was just the perfect start to our married life.

The food as ever was amazing; it wasn't our first time at The Zetland it certainly won't...

Went for a meal at Christies. There was one other couple in on a late weekend evening, it felt pretty dead. The room is lovely however, it feels very golden era authentic, good lighting and music choice. Menu is limited which is fine but we were immediately told 2 mains are not available and upon ordering our starter and mains that there were not enough mussels... but this would be made up with haddock to fill it out. This was delicious to be fair (just not what we ordered). Pork parmo was OK, nothing to shout about in comparison to other Teesside venues. Cocktails were excellent. The one staff member we saw from start to finish was a lovely young lad, very well meaning but didn't have any idea when questioned on the menu (be it food or drinks), a lot of backwards and forwards to the kitchen. All in all, an...

Popped in today to see what was on offer, looked at menu but decided to just have a couple of drinks as my wife didn't fancy a full on meal , so , as we were chatting with Philip he was sharing his wealth of knowledge about food and beverages he popped out the back and then came in with the best tomatoe soup we have tasted with some garlic sourdough bread on the house ! Then he disappeared again and brought out some more bread with grated tomatoes on and once again that was absolutely delicious! Also on the house ! So we will be back to taste the full 3 course offering next Saturday! Thank you Philip see you Saturday, Paul and Karen. Ps we went home and tried to create the tomatoes on sourdough it was lovely but not quite as...

3 friends enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch in the Brasserie today - it was EXCELLENT! Beautifully presented and every course was super tasty..12 out of 10 to the Chef and his team. The stunning Victorian decor of this handsome 19th Century building, plus waiter Philip's wonderful stories of Middlesborough's history, only added more 'flavour' to the whole wonderful culinary experience! Please treat yourselves and book a table today!!

Fantastic food and great service, it was a really lovely evening, everything was fresh and hot and it was very good value for money as well! I tried Black Pudding Au Poivre which I'd never even heard of and it was honestly amazing! To top it off they mentioned crème brulé was also an option for pudding which was a game changer and was really gorgeous. Would really recommend this place highly and we will be back!
