The Isaac Wilson — Restaurant in Great Britain

We came in today (01/07/24) Amazing atmosphere and such friendly staff. A big shout out to Quinn for excellent service, we were both made to feel comfortable and she was so helpful with our picky orders i cannot praise her enough, as a person who works in management in hospitality i can say she has customer service mastered. The food was delicious, i highly recommend the colonel burger, one of the best chicken burgers I’ve had. Very cheap pints as i only paid £1.50 for a pint of cider. The only reason I’m giving this review 4 stars instead of 5 was when the supervisor (i believe) brought over our desserts she was holding the spoons by the mouthpieces which was very unhygienic. Love the Issacs, the food is home cooked, love their dirty chips, the Hunters Chicken.. Not so much. But unlike Weatherspoons, it's homecooked. The staff, that i've met are cracking people, fun to talk to.. The choice of music on an afternoon is awesome, they get the rock and metal out for the students.. But it's my kind of music, Pantera, Sepultura, Slayer etc.

They have a wide array of independant ales that I love trying, new ones every week I go. Tge po table is a quid though, cheaper at the Green Tree. All in all I love the Issac,I come back here every week....

A few months ago, this would have been 5 stars. But the regression of quality (especially with the food) is really noticeable as of late. I hope things improve again.

Edit: I have dropped my review further because the quality drop keeps hitting hard. The new menu only reduced options and I have no idea what is going on in the kitchen, because everything I've ordered the past few weeks has been an absolute disaster. I am praying for things to get even slightly closer to the quality this place...
