Tides — Restaurant in England

Tides Café is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed so warmly and instantly felt at home. The attention to detail here is remarkable — everything from the presentation of the food to the beautiful ambience has clearly been created with love and care.

The food itself is outstanding. Nadine, the owner and chef, pours her heart into every dish, handcrafting meals with top-quality ingredients. The menu is fantastic, offering a wonderful balance of traditional favourites alongside fresh, innovative choices. Every plate we tried was full of flavour and beautifully prepared.

I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday breakfast here with friends, and Nadine made it truly special and memorable. We had all travelled from the other side of Dorset just to experience Tides, and it was absolutely worth it — in fact, we’re already planning our return!

Despite being a regular customer it is always a treat to visit Tides which is a great asset to Highcliffe High Street and of course the wider area. Whilst Tides receives so many excellent reviews, both on here and on Trip Adviser, I felt that I really had to add to these and hence this review.

Tides is well situated on the High Street with a convenient car park just a short walk across the road behind what was until recently the Co-op store. The atmosphere in Tides is always great, customers are greeted on arrival and everywhere is clean and fresh. There is a very good choice of items on the menu and hot food is always served piping hot - in fact the staff warn you as a matter of course that the plates are hot!

I really can’t recommend Tides enough. If you haven’t visited there yet, treat yourself sometime soon and you won’t be disappointed. In fact you’ll be kicking yourself for not having tried...

You must try Tides! At Tides the food is always freshly cooked to order with quality ingredients. The owner is not only lovely but really cares about whether you enjoy your food and will cook everything to your preference also taking into account allergies etc. The plates are hot, which is a lovely touch as your food stays hotter for longer. If you haven’t tried here and are considering going, do it! You won’t be disappointed. There are other cafes locally that ‘won’t change the dish because it is a weekend’, but you won’t get that here. If you need something removing or altering, they will do their best to accommodate, the decor is great and it is always clean . With such good food, it does get busy but they do take bookings.
