Back to entire Eastern staffing again.
Cost us around £9 each and totally not worth it.
Chicken burgers tasted and felt warmed up.
Our order said ready to collect but it was several minutes before it was. They're so lazy they get customers to collect their own bottled drinks from the fridge.
Customers can wait an age to be served at the one counter. The service is not enthusiastic and it should be with their premium prices.
Many items were unavailable on the menu.
Sitting here I heard customers return to the counter with inaccurate orders.
Tbh, they're not rushed off their feet so why the poor service?
Cutlery is still absolutely awful and breaks very quickly.
In conclusion, it's not very good food with poor service and expensive. Overpriced laziness.
This is my third and final review and likely visit.
9th November
The racial profile has changed and is now inclusive.
Plastic cutlery is near useless. I'm not heavy handed but it always breaks.
Dark roast coffee, is it normal for it to have black flecks in the cup I wonder?
Hash browns still a little too greasy. Feels like the oil is hot hot enough when they're cooked.
When the sun is low there is virtually no place to sit where the sun doesn't blind. Every surface is heavily reflective so even if the sun is higher than the windows the reflection from tables has the same effect.
With disability awareness, there remains no table service at all. Everyone is expected to fetch their own food. They are happy to watch customers struggle.
Back to older review ...
Updating this 2 September 2022. They're blaming lack of staff for the unacceptable delays which are still over 15 minutes.
Closest disabled parking bay was out as they left a wooden pallet in it.
Just watching the staff working they're so slow, painfully so.
Food and drinks still good but not if the place is fighting for a fast food label. We had plenty of time when we arrived yet had to take out the coffee because of how long they took.
Receipts didn't work but no one checks these things.
That's the end of this update, the remainder is from an earlier visit.
I rarely give just 1 star but, I've got to be honest with you dear reader.
The place was quiet, about a third full though most were awaiting their orders.
That order took over 20 minutes to process.
They forgot we were eating in, I needed to remind them.
One wrap started with brown sauce but became ketchup part way through. All hash browns were stuck to the paper there were in.
Clearly there is some racial discrimination going on as everyone employed has a similar ethic origin. I dislike any form of racism so was disappointed by this in such a multicultural town.
Seating is comfortable.
A big door to get in which wouldn't be easy for someone with limited mobility. If I'd been on my scooter I'd not have got in without help.
Prices are good.
I do hope they improve because with heavy competition just across the car park they need...
Read moreFirst visit to Northampton Tim Hortons and was really looking forward to it after being to numerous of the restaurants in Canada. A real shame we can’t bring the customer service from Canada to the U.K.
I’m not sure why but unless you buy a pre packaged box of 6 or 12 donuts which you can’t pick your flavours then you can only purchase 3 donuts. There was no explanation as to why only 3 donuts allowed but since these are one of your main selling points that is a ridiculous rule.
I bought Two Tim’s minis meals and no word of a lie there was 3 lattice fries per meal. The lack of fries was an absolute joke.
I have a blue light card which I mentioned when I placed my order and was told to show and sort when making payment which I did. The man on the till was very unhappy as he said he would have to add it to the till himself which was time consuming. Explained this is what I was told to do but really was made to feel like this was my issue.
I know you’ve only been open 6 days but I’d have thought lessons in customer service from a huge Canadian company would have been a priority. Hopefully it’s just early days and the staff are getting to grips with things but it really is off putting.
I’ll give 3 stars as the food quality is good (although quantity poor) and the donuts are amazing so would really like to give Tim Hortons another chance. But with 2 rival companies next door that I’ve never had any issues with, If things don’t improve then I’m more like to use...
Read moreTim Hortons at Riverside Retail Park in Northampton offers a modern take on the Canadian coffee shop experience, featuring a spacious interior with self-order kiosks and a drive-thru for added convenience. The restaurant maintains a clean and contemporary atmosphere, making it a comfortable spot for a quick bite or a leisurely coffee break.
The menu boasts a variety of options, including classic Canadian favorites like Timbits, donuts, and a selection of hot and cold beverages. While many patrons appreciate the coffee and baked goods, opinions on the food quality are mixed. Some issues with food temperature, such as receiving cold burgers and fries, can be disappointing.
Service at this location has garnered positive response, with staff being as friendly and attentive. However, there have been instances where cleanliness was lacking, with dirty tables and food debris on the floor. These inconsistencies in cleanliness can improve by overall taking care and doing things on time.
Tim Hortons in Northampton offers a familiar and convenient option for those craving Canadian-style coffee and snacks. While the ambiance and service are generally well-received, the food quality and cleanliness have room for improvement. With some attention to these areas, this location has the potential to provide a consistently...
