Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

I love costa coffee and have always been happy to leave 5 star ratings, Unfortunately not today. I take my parents to various costas at least twice a week. Firstly, the cashier attempted to overcharge me. I asked for a breakdown of costs I had 2 drink, he said I had 3 as I had a bottle of coke which I didn't, he then said you definitely do, my mum was very upset. The man next to me said no I have a coke and had it on the counter. No apology!!! Just laughed at us. Next we sit down with our drinks and the teapot was empty no water or tea bag. I took it back to the counter. No apology just laughed at and replaced. I could accept one member of staff having a bad day but not two. What a shame to be let down by such terrible service. I think we will stick to the Sixfields Costa and the Riverside Next Costa where the service is impeccable and the staff are helpful and friendly. Went to get a morning coffee went in ask for the toastie & coffee the lady then asked if I wanted marmalade or jam I pointed to the notice and she said OH you have to go to the fridge to go get your choice so I went picked my choice and went back another lady took over and told me the incorrect price to which it was on the board I showed her it and she no no that’s a meal deal price i said look il just have a coffee she kept shouting the lady was new ect ect I choose to not comment as people was watching I sat down to actually hear her telling customers in the queue how I wasn’t understanding that the lady was new completely trying to belittle me in the place I kept my head down and quietly drank my coffee I found this experience disrespectful unprofessional I’ve been in hospitality for over 30 years I would never treat a...

I was in there today asked for coffee to have in whilst waiting for receipt another customer came in and sat at the table I was going to Unbeknown to me I sat at a table which was not in use ,after about 5 minutes a staff member came and asked me to move as the seats were not in use I said there was sign but was told a small card was on the table stating that, yet the seats were not covered up as I got up the staff said there was no more seats so I should leave I was shocked and asked for a takeaway cup which I was given as I was getting it they said they had found me a table I looked at it and might as well have sat on the lap of the customer next to it.
