Subway — Restaurant in England

This is our nearest subway, the past four times we have visited there have been problems that easily could be avoided! The most recent visit was yesterday. Subway are currently offering deal coupons, we'd been car shopping & thought we'd get a subway afterwards, apparently they couldn't provide us with the offer as the manger wasn't in despite this not being shown anywhere on the coupon even in the small print. When we asked why they gave no explanation & practically ignored us. They offered no apology so we then left. The times before these we have been in on one occasion they had one bread left, no chicken & no salad bowls! This was at midday so there was no reason as to why they didn't have this! Subway at the N. E. C. was one of very few open food options when we visited The Titanic Exhibition. We were minding our granddaughter while Mum & Dad spent more time in the exhibition and she wanted something to eat, so we bought her a children's sub. There wasn't much alternative.

I'm not a fan of Subway, personally but it was the easiest thing available. Service was OK if uninspiring and we both find the whole ordering process tedious but we got there.

There were very few places to sit and the coffees we collected from the machine while she ate weren't anything other than bland. I tipped most of mine away.

Subway addict, what can I say? Knocked down to three stars because of the obvious policy of cutting back on quantities. Used to have your sub loaded with unlimited salad, now you have to keep asking "Can I have more olives/peppers/spinach/sweetcorn please?". Staff admitted they were told to use a smaller scoop for the tuna and if you want the quantity you used to get it's £3.00 extra!! Don't fall for the extra cheese trick either. Prices have crept up too, it's now we'll over £20 for two of us to have meal deals. Still can't stay...
