I few friends and I recently dined at Tiranga and, unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. From the moment we sat down, the service and overall experience left much to be desired.
Firstly, we encountered an odd inconsistency with the availability of ice. When we requested ice for our drinks, we were told there was none available. This would have been understandable if we hadn't noticed other tables being served ice without issue. This inconsistency was just the beginning of our troubles.
The service throughout the meal was poor. Our server seemed more interested in clearing our table than attending to our needs. Despite multiple interruptions to ask if they could clear our plates, when we actually needed something, like additional drinks or the check, the staff were nowhere to be found. This gave us the impression that we were being rushed out, especially since the restaurant was busy with a crowd of people waiting, likely there to celebrate India's cricket victory.
The final straw was the aftermath of our meal. Not only did I experience a rather upset stomach later that night, but the bill also left a sour taste. After spending over £100, we were surprised to find an additional charge for takeaway containers for our leftovers. This seemed particularly stingy given the already steep bill.
Overall, my visit to Tiranga was disappointing. The inconsistent service, the feeling of being rushed, and the subsequent bellyache make it hard for me to recommend this restaurant. It's unlikely I'll be returning, and I hope future diners have a...
Read moreHad a watered down curry for take away on a £120+ order and the bill was incorrectly calculated as well. Called the restaurant to inform them and no solution offered at all no sense of accepting the mistake. Had to leave my party to take it back to them and when I took it back the owner and daughter started making faces and swearing at us and charging at us to leave whilst forcing the door closed at us and banging on the glass physically assaulting us. If you want to stay safe avoid this place please. It’s funny because there were no other customers there so they felt they could bully us. The owner kept making faces at us instead of saying okay apologies it’s not to your taste but this is the type of curry we serve. They had a superiority complex with zero customer service.
It’s also noted how many reviews on this place talk about the owners bad attitude and the behaviour. I don’t see a reason why people put up with it when all they respond with is ‘don’t come here again’ they feel like people are dying for their food. It’s ridiculous. I will never be ordering from here again.
I am sure the restaurant has cctv cameras as per reply below, let the police decide who slammed what. Keep your attitude and watered down curries to yourself. No one wants this...
