Went to eat here on 22/09/23 around 18:10pm. The manager who looks like Colonel Sanders is highly unprofessional. Upon arrival we've asked for a low table for 2, he said he doesn't have any and if we choose to wait it'll be 1 hour. 5 mins later another couple came overheard them speaking to the same manager they came without booking and this manager gave them a low table. I raised this up with the same manager and he said he using a cane. I told him how can you judge me you don't know if I have a hidden disability or even an injury. He just looked away without any apology, typical lousy manager. Also the Mac and Cheese £10.75 for this small plate. I don't think that it's worth it, you can decide based on the picture. I had fish and chips here before which would have been better value for money. We were interested in making a reservation for Christmas Day & Boxing Day however after this managers handling of this situation we won't proceed.

Having lived in Warrington for the last 3 years, we never miss a weekly visit to the trigger pond. There are not many dog friendly pubs which have the most fantastic, vibrant and friendly staff who welcome us all to join them. They know us all by name and are brilliantly personal and attentive. Welcomed by the owner at the door Carina who always takes care of us and everyone else who visits. Her team are fabulous behind the bar and even come to visit our dogs who love the attention. Chris and Ben to only mention a couple of names are always smiling and happy to help. The food is exceptional. Great pub food menu with plenty to choose from and is always fresh and hot! I can’t recommend enough. Come and visit especially on a Friday as the pub quiz they host is excellent. Free entertainment for the weekend with prizes just for entering. What more can you ask for? Great and vibrant atmosphere every time.

We visited the pub on a Friday night to enjoy the quiz. It was an exceptional atmosphere and the bar staff (Megan, Ollie, and Jonathan) were brilliant, they served us promptly and knew the menu well. It was very apparent that they all had exceptional team work, which says a lot about the management too. While, completing the quiz we order some of the sides off the menu, warm, tasty and just enough to fuel the brain for the quiz and served from Elouise with a smile. She also ensured all the order was correct and felt with all our needs. While ordering our food and drinks Megan tempted us with extras. It was well worth it… excellent upselling and good effort from the chefs putting it together. All in all a very worth while visit. Thank you to the Trigger pond team

Date: Christmas Day Party: 8 Adults & 2 Children Price: £540 (+ £90 Drinks)

Right - Where do I start with this???

On arrival, nobody there to check us in at front of house. People just walking around everywhere - Staff & customers. We were then told to just stand whilst our table was being cleaned after we gave our booking name. After this, decided to get drinks at the bar whilst we waited - Eventually being pointed to a random table 15 minutes later. Nobody then acknowledged us for at least 45 minutes 😳😳😳. We asked for an update on food and if anybody was going to come over and ask if we’re ok for drinks etc? We then ordered a round of drinks - For which came wrong. When the Starters arrived, they were all wrong - To which my Wife was then questioned by a member of staff “Well when did you change your order?” Lucky she took a picture of what we submitted weeks ago. Terrible starters may I add!!! After all this though, the SAME member of Staff then came out to tell us that they had seated us on the wrong seats and we were receiving someone else’s orders 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️. He apologised and said there would be no problems going forward. Then the Main Course came… Oh my… SHOCKING!!!!! £60 per head for that was nothing short of a disgrace. 1 meal in 8 Adults had a random batch of Garden Peas on??????????? Then 1 of the Turkey Dinners looked like it was on the turn. When questioned, some terrible excuse that the Chief was sorry and he hadn’t seen it. We expected nothing from the Dessert after the abysmal courses beforehand - And we weren’t wrong either.

DREADFUL Customer Service - Left to leave after it without even being acknowledged. Will NOT be back that’s for sure.

You may have made a LOT of money today… But long term you have lost a lot more as I doubt we were the only group that left disappointed. Customer Service is paramount, and a problem can be put correct if it is dealt with in the correct manner - That today...

We dropped in on a whim while we were driving past, my wife hoping to have the chicken and ribs combo they used to sell. It was much quieter than it used to be, and we soon discovered the food on offer was from a much reduced menu, and the "specials" board was gone - like the customers. A few staff members (4 or 5 of them) were in a huddle talking at the end of the bar near the kitchen which immediately made me think something was amiss - staff never used to have that much time to themselves. There was a QR code to allow you to order direct from the table which worked well. The chicken and ribs combo was no longer available - there were no ribs on the menu at all. We ended up with a southern fried chicken burger and a steak and ale pie. The chicken burger was ok, but it no longer arrived on a normal plate, it had been reduced to a greaseproof paper insert with skinny fries, with a gravy boat with chicken gravy (why ?), and a small pot of burger sauce. There's a silly trend where "burgers must be as tall as possible" by adding things like hash browns which simply makes them impossible to eat unless you dismantle it first or hack at it with a knife and fork. The steak and ale pie was nice enough 'internally', but the lid was like cardboard. As with the rest of the reduced menu, the desserts weren't inspiring enough to entice us to spend...

As a family we have always enjoyed dining at the trigger pond as it is close to home, the food has always been good and the prices are reasonable. However, today's visit was the best we have ever seen. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. We ordered 2 lamb shanks with chips that were cooked to perfection and the sauce was to die for. The kids roast had plenty for fresh vegetables, and turkey with a lovely gravy. My husband had the cowboy burger and sid it was probably the best burger he had ever eaten 😋 We also ordered puddings which were delicious, generous helpings of rocky road sundaes and chocolate orange sponge - sooooo gooood! The thing that really made our meal special was the staff! What an absolute wonderful team! So accommodating, friendly and extremely hard working. The land lady Carina was such a lovely person and made sure she got around every table making everyone feel at home. The bar staff were so lovely and helpful particulary Sam who was only on her second day working there and impressed us so much with how quickly she had picked everything up and took the time to help us with our order. We were also so impressed with the 4 table checks we received. All the staff were so genuine and made us feel special and valued. We will definitely be visiting more often! Thank...
