UK Peri Peri — Restaurant in England

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. BELOW AVERAGE FOOD. This is the first time I ordered from this sorry excuse of an establishment and it will be the last time. It took them over 1 hour to deliver their sad excuse for food. The best part of it, the owner of this place was delivering the food himself (guessing business isn’t going too well if he can’t afford to pay a delivery driver) and decided to pick a fight with me because he can’t read google maps and find an address? We gave him very detailed directions on the phone and then he expects us to walk out to the street and meet him by his car to pick up the food? When we’ve paid an additional delivery charge?? He then proceeds to blame me for the fact that he had a multiple deliveries and couldn’t deal with it? What’s that got to do with the customer? If you can’t fulfil orders THEN DON’T TAKE THEM. He then LIES and says he has been calling us for 20 minutes. We received no phone calls from him AND we had actually called the take away ourselves to see where the food was and they couldn’t give us a clear answer.

He can’t handle his business and then takes it out on PAYING customers. If you can’t hack a TAKE AWAY then don’t open one? This man is the most UNPROFESSIONAL business owner I have EVER come across and to top it all off the food was below average. Not that I’m surprised that someone that exhibits ABYSMAL customer service and a complete lack of professionalism does not put any thought or care into the quality of their food.

I have been to UK Peri Peri and get the double fillet chicken burger meal—it’s my go-to every time. The burger is is really good! The southern fried chicken is crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and seasoned just right. You can tell they put effort into getting the flavor spot on, and the portions are generous too. It always hits the spot. Not bad in terms of pricing.

The staff are what really make the experience. The guy with the glasses and the main boss are always friendly and make you feel welcome. They’ve got great customer service and always double-check that everything’s good with your order, which you don’t always get at takeaway places.

Ordered chicken and chips and some hot wings. Definitely avoid the hot wings unless they make some changes, ordered 6, only got 5 but they looked so bad we didn't touch them. Meat didn't look right and seemed it was reheated countless number of times or left there for a while. The picture actually looks a bit better then what it looked in real life but we all agreed these hot wings could not be eaten. Also found blue tissue piece in my chicken and chips box. Also the chips were unappealing from the way they looked and tasted, most of them were broken. Not sure what potatoes they are using but really need to look into...
