Waterhead a waterside coffee shop ‘What a find’ ..The service, attention to detail, ambiance and the quality of the delights on offer were very much appreciated by our multi generation party.. We enjoyed a quieter part of the lakes on a sunny early September afternoon here, sitting outside on the veranda with beautiful view of the lake, lovely coffee’s, delicious homemade blueberry muffins and lemon roulade, choc dipped ice cream and tasty pea and mint soup (Good with or without the mint)so everyone was catered for plus fresh water and doggy treats were provided for our two dogs. First class welcoming service from people who obviously take great pride in what they have created in this beautiful relaxing part of the lakes. Highly Recommend. Whilst the food and beverages were fantastic quality, my better half and myself were disappointed after a morning walk to find they opened 10/15 minutes behind the advertised opening time. Staff seemed a bit bewildered that they had a task in hand to do, (possibly had a good slog in the pub across the night before.) with little to no conversation between ordering and serving. Preparation for opening despite 9AM being past already was extremely slow and in my own opinion, the gentleman preparing this seemed like he'd rather be drowning himself in Windermere lake than make another coffee. But the food was great and the coffee was champion. Best advice, go for half 9 as they're on Cumbrian...

Great food and coffee BUT ! Would of given 5 stars but unfortunately the customer service I received from the gentleman in the football top seemed more interested in his phone ( that seemed attached to his hand) than he was me. He was literally viewing his phone whilst making my coffee without any thought of his surroundings whatsoever , i find this very rude and poor management. The coffee is good as i have been in a lot during my stay in the lakes but it really isn’t a lot to expect to be served by somebody with good manners. Not sure if he was the owner or not , but if he wasn’t then he's clearly letting the owner down. If it was the owner , then i would suggest you have a word...
