Lovely park with a view onto, as well as into the lake. It's a shame about the fallen trees not being picked up sooner as the path was blocked and the trail was muddy from people needing to use the grass... I asked a nice little bird to wait for me to take a photograph, and it did! We enjoyed the walk in the nicer winter weather. It's worth a visit. The Roman Fort is right next to it as well!...

Google had incorrectly assigned the opening hours to be that of the office of The South Lakeland District Council. The website doesn't say what the opening hours of the park are: it was certainly open when I visited on a...

Spent a lovely late afternoon picnic at Borrans park on the banks of lake Windermere. A fantastic spot for all the family. Good choices of grass sitting or seats and picnic tables. Kids loved splashing by the water too. Definitely a repeating activity.
