Zolsha — Restaurant in England

Went for a birthday meal, from being served waited 45 minutes for our food. Main course came out, but they forgot our starters! We said we'd have our mains but was told the chef would cook fresh again if we waited for our starters. Starters came 10 minutes later which were good. Waited for our mains another 20 minutes to find our meals had been sat warmed up under heat lamps. Bhuna was hot round the edge and cold in the middle and the sauce had dried onto the chicken so it definitely wasn't cooked fresh as we were advised. Fatty chicken and very salty. This place is normally very good, we are regulars for the takeaway and restaurant however sadly, how perceptions change. There was no offer or good will gesture. We could see the waiter was trying to do his best but kept forgetting to get our drinks. We have had better service when the restaurant has been much busier. Stomach is well off this morning so we won't be going again which is a shame as this place is normally really good. It is also cash only which is bizarre in this day and age and...

Fantastic meal, couldn't fault the meal or the service. We ordered a takeaway, we arrived a little early and our meal wasn't quite ready (our fault) we received a complimentary drink each. I mentioned a particular meal I had at another restaurant, they even went and tried to recreate the meal especially for us again complimentary. So wonderful to find a business who goes above and beyond our expectations. Would highly recommend. It will be our go to Indian. The decor in the restaurant is very modern, the waiting area is spacious and well decorated. First class service, first class food and really nice people

Update Last 3 takeaways have taken well over an hour which ordinarily would be fine, but if you get to the place after 60 minutes as advised, and it takes a further 20-45 minutes it's frustrating. The food is still good, but has been cold the last 3 times as if it's been waiting around. Last time we have a takeaway from zolsha, until they get a new clock,...

Used to love coming here but unfortunately it’s not what it used to be. Haven’t been here in over a year and left somewhat disappointed.

Service was just ok, felt like they were all rushing round and storming up and down the restaurant with takeaways to be collected. My bag got knocked off the back of my chair twice so I removed it and placed it under the table instead. I felt like every time I asked them for another drink I was just putting them under more pressure.

Drinks now come with teeny tiny cans of Coke if you get a spirit. Had to ask for more coke to go with it as my glass was only half filled.

Food was just ok. Paneer tikka was so bland I couldn’t finish it, it had no taste at all.

Main tasted ok in some bites and others it could have been my partners curry just with less spice. Popadoms, chutneys, Rice and Nan bread were all really nice.

I don’t think il be returning...
