First time visiting Nando's since Lockdown. Still mainly takeaway through you can sit down outside and eat it.
Given three stars as food was as usual good and staff were friendly.
Only issue I had is that they never gave us any cutlery, they also never communicated this and we this found out after we sat down. Also, we had a one year old and they wouldn’t let us use a highchair because of Covid, this is the only place to eat so far where we have been provided a highchair (I feel Covid was being used as a bit of an excuse) Just for context, we ordered Coleslaw and Peas the sort of thing you really need a fork for. Went in and they said they had ran out of wooden forks and couldn't give us any, I mentioned we could just use normal forks and they could wash them. They said they weren't allowed, the excuse was and if they gave them to us they would have to give them to everyone; in my opinion not the most robust of arguments.
I did ask them how I was supposed to eat it with no cutlery, never really got a response.
If you do not have cutlery, fine, but please tell me before I pick up the food.
Also, Covid is about being, pragmatic and using common sense.
Also, the other issue is there were not really any visible bins outside so the high street bin just ends up being overflowing and littering the high street.
Advice for improvements: Communicate if there is missing stuff in the order (like cutlery) so Customers can be aware. Use your common sense rather than the "That's the Policy" and "Computer Says No" attitude. -Provide clearly labelled bins for waste so not to little the...
Read moreWas going to a friends for a takeaway so decided to pick up a Nandos on the way through . Phoned up to order a takeaway , a call which should take 3/4 minutes . 17 minutes later and after repeating my phone number about 15 times my order was done . Arrived at Nandos and went straight to the till . The girl reader my order back to me and half of it was wrong . But I decided to let it go as we were all starving. Then when my order was brought over and the guy went through the order it was 3 portion of chips , half an avocado and 4 thighs light . So I had to wait for them to be cooked . Finally after arriving at my friends we dish up dinner . The chicken was so dry I had to get a glass of water and out of the 5 portions of chips we bought I reckon 3 went in the bin as they were so burnt . I've been eating Nandos 4/5 times a month for about the last 5 years and I can safely say this was by far the worst Nandos I have ever eaten . It was that bad that I have to say it has even put me off eating it again for a while . This Loughton branch really should hang there heads in same if that's what there severing up to people . Vile is the only word that...
Read moreReally hope this is one of the nandos that goes under with the new restrictions. Sneakily fining there customers with 60 pound parking tickets if they think they don't meet the criteria for parking. This restaurant and pizza express were the only restaurants my kids will eat at in Loughton but I will never ever use nandos Loughton again. Ever. They have lost my custom my families and extended families customs. All for the sake of a parking ticket they refused to rescind. This was all during the lockdown period where both my wife and myself weren't working due to me being self employed and my wife on maternity leave. When people are meant to be pulling together and helping each other out, nandos are fining people. Disgraceful act.
After lots of back and forth they have still demanded that the fine be paid today or are threatening to take me to court. True to mine and my families word we haven't used nandos loughton since and I will do everything in my power to stop as many people as I know from using this store. When people have lost jobs and we are going into another lockdown. You should be ashamed...
