House of Hummus Cafe — Restaurant in Epsom and Ewell

House of Hummus is a true hidden gem! A one-man show, where the owner/chef runs everything solo, serving up incredibly fresh and authentic Lebanese flavors.

We had the Lamb Kebab/Kofte, Falafel, and Hummus plates, all fresh from the oven to the plate. Having lived in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, I can say the taste was spot on! I also finally had Lebanese garlic sauce again after moving to London—absolutely perfect.

The owner was generous with portions and even gave me a quiet discount, which I only noticed while paying—a kind gesture (but let’s not take advantage!).

With great alfresco seating and solid takeaway options, it’s perfect for a casual bite.

Ordered around 9ish with an hour waiting time which was no problem. Hour passed and I thought ok no worries. 1hr 15 and the update on deliveroo is that it's on its way (22:15) and I'm no more than 15mins away. So by 22.30 I should be eating right? I've tried calling the restaurant from 22.15 - 22:50. No answer. I go on deliveroo live chat and they got through the second time of calling. They told them that the food will be with me in 5-7mins. So I should be eating at 23:15ish. It's currently 23.45 and I've just put in some oven food. Good job guys. Just a quick courtesy call to apologise and be truthful if I'm getting food or not would be nice! Customer service non existent. As was the food apparently. Not gonna lay into you guys that much but...

The food from this place is amazing - it's so much more than just hummus. (And their hummus is excellent!)

Even in the little take away/delivery containers it's so nearly presented too! Really appreciate the care taken.

If you're hoping for giant portions this is not the place, I'm not saying they're small, but this place is more about quality than quantity.

The tabbouleh salad is 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻! As are the falafels, batata harra, hummus and smokey moutabal. All excellent.

Only ever had deliveries as discovered this place during lockdown but the delivery staff also seem really friendly and careful.

Overall just great food and a really good...
