Senzo is the best coffee shop this side of Italy. AJ prides himself on customer service and really makes this feel like a home from home. Everyone here is treated like a family, and if you're looking for that kind of atmosphere - this is the place for you.
Food
The food is fresh and super tasty. They offer a wide selection on their menu, though the kitchen is not always open so always ask. They offer a number of freshly made baguettes, yogurts, pastries and other snacks throughout the day. I'd personally recommend the avocado and chicken, it's great.
Staff
Tayla and Charlotte are nothing but efficient, kind and welcoming to everyone. Which is why there's such a good report with all the customers.
Seating
Lots of options for seating, with sofas and work stations. WiFi is available upon request, ask for your receipt as it's at the bottom. The work stations are spacious and sockets are available. They're normally not busy.
Facilities
Toilets are kept clean and well maintained.
Kids play area
For any mum's who have young ones, they have a great play area in the back. There's a minimum charge of £5 I believe, which is a couple coffees, but I've always thought this is reasonable to stop people just coming off the street and using it without buying anything. It's always nice and busy and is a good way to meet other mum's or have your kid meet other children too.
The prices are good for what you get. AJ prides himself on high quality coffee, he often offers free samples of new recipes he's working on. If you don't know what you like, don't get afraid to ask - he'll always have something for you.
I would highly recommend going to Senzo ahead of any other coffee shops in Epsom, as they're a cut...
Read moreThe only reason this is getting a 2 star is because the coffee is good and some of the female staff are nice. The male staff (owner?) is rude, arrogant and unpleasant. He upset me so much and on several occasions, so I go elsewhere to get my coffee now, even though I like the coffee here.
For example, he chooses to sell via delivery apps then if he sees a customer in store who ordered via one of the apps, has an angry rant at them saying how annoyed he was to have to send them stuff and pay delivery company's service fees, and the customer should not be so lazy and drive in and buy in store themselves. How bizarre...I mean surely some business is better than no business? And customers pay an increased amount on the apps and pay fees too? Ungrateful, especially when spending over £15 on coffee and croissants. He also has a go at customers who ask to get stamps on their Senzo loyalty cards, as if they are being greedy. Why offer either of these things (delivery or loyalty cards) then behave this way when people use them?
I think he loses his temper easily can't hide it very well, which is not something you want to be at the receiving end of when giving a place your custom. What he doesn't seem to get is that people can go elsewhere. He boasts a lot about how great his coffee is, and tries to make you feel like you should be so lucky to drink it, but even great coffee isn't worth it for a horrible experience and...
Read moreThis coffee shops claims 'maybe the best latte in Epsom' . There is no maybe about it! Brilliant coffee, brilliant food and the croissants are brilliant too. This will be my new go to place for lunch and for coffee breaks. The menu is not extensive but there are plenty of variations on each dish and the quality is high. There is even a sit play area in the back but it is so well placed it is almost like two shops in one with the front for quiet ambient music with books available and the back for parents with kids. Some reviews ask why would anyone go to Costa next door and the only answer I can think of is it is faster at churning out a lower quality coffee. If I were a commuter I'd leave an extra 5 mins each day just to pop into Senzo!! 1st...
