Superfish — Restaurant in Epsom and Ewell

My first experience of this Superfish was about 1 hour ago. We have used various fish and chip shops over the past few years but have never found one that is consistent in providing exactly what we were looking for. Well, after tonight's experience I feel we may have done so now. Good, fair pricing, good food, accurate collection estimate (which we find is very rare nowadays) and a very polite service with happy smiling faces. If they can consistently perform as they have tonight, we may have found the best fish and chip establishment for miles around. Well done everyone who made this possible! Update: We have visited three times since first coming here a couple of months ago and all was great until last Friday. We picked up an elderly relative who loves fish and chips and treated her to a meal here with us. All was fine as usual except the haddock all 4 of us had. The batter was chewy and the fish not as flakey or large as it has been. 3 of us had to leave food on our plate which is unheard of for us. I feel they just overcooked the fish this time but I am just guessing? Sad because we had been praising this restaurant for weeks, so this visit was very disappointing. We should try it again as it's not the general theme for this place but it won't be for a while as we will be kicking ourselves if the same thing happened again so soon and it ruined another Friday...

Normally I've never had a problem with this company, however after my last visit I began to have stomach pains at around 7.00pm. This got increasingly worse as the evening progressed. Thinking this might just go away on its own I tried to sleep it off but with no success, it was now 1am and I was still in a lot of pain so i called the 111 number and they advised me to go to A&E. After a two hour wait in A&E I was finally seen by a doctor who diagnosed this as food poisoning.

So my advice is avoid this place as they obviously dont take food hygiene...

This is the second time in two weeks I have visited, first the Cheam, then the Ewell. Both times I have received ver overcooked chips, and when you finally get home and open the box, they have turned hard like cardboard. Second time also had sausage in batter, and again the batter was extremely hard, and had the taste of burn. No not sure if it’s because things are sitting there for a while or overcooking in the first place, but either way a shame, as was not like this before. Might have to look elsewhere which is a shame as always...
