I called after receiving a bad order. The man I spoke with said every excuse then finally landed on an accusation of "you're just trying to get a free..." I asked for his name he replied "don't worry about my name you're speaking to the restaurant". He's first response was to tell me "it's impossible for the chef to..." and use words like "never". I told him I can take a picture, he said "you can take a picture but you can also remove half". I spent 30 pounds at the restaurant, me trying to fix a 6 pound tiramisus is me trying to get free food really? The food was soooo salty, even the bread and broccoli was salty, and I did not even mention all of that. I ordered because I thought they are a credible Michelin restaurant. I have repeatedly ordered dessert with them and not a meal. So I know when the dessert is not correct. I reported the meal to the delivery platform. Never again. Rude and ignorant. It was possibly the manager because the phone was handed to him by a lady. Disgusting man. You can see from the bag where the food was spat out and the tiramisus was just cream.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Ristorante Amalfi. I want to express my gratitude to the staff for ensuring that the pasta remained warm, despite the unresponsive Uber Eats drivers tonight. Unfortunately, the pizza arrived cold, but this was not the restaurant’s fault. I ordered the Scialatelli Allo Scoglio, and it was exceptionally tasty. The sauce, combined with the seafood and perfectly cooked pasta, had a delightful bite. I couldn’t get enough of it! As for the Pizza Diavola, the flavor was excellent. However, due to the Uber Eats mishap, it arrived cold, resulting in a slightly dried-out and chewy crust. I imagine it would be even better if enjoyed fresh from the oven. I will return to try it again in the future.

Myself, with a party of 13 attended for Father’s Day. We were all largely disappointed with the food and service we received.

First of all, the pizza dough was not cooked. None of the adult parties ate more than two slices of pizza. The fillet steak was not seared and tasted as though it had been boiled. The fish was watery and flavourless. We ordered a coffee with our deserts, this did not arrive until after we’d received the bill. We asked for children’s menus and were assured any adult adult dish would be a smaller portion... which would have been fine if we weren’t still charged with an adult fee. None of the waiters asked if there was anything wrong with the food despite large portions being left at the end of the meal- and there was no check back whilst we were dining.

We did complain to the staff at the restaurant when our plates were collected. All we were told was “thank you- I’ll make a note of your comment.”

As someone who has frequented the restaurant (and who paid a substantial bill) I have to say I’m disappointed, as were the other guests.

Generally a more than underwhelming experience with staff who did not seem the slightest...

Visited with family yesterday. Was seated in the corner of the restaurant with our kids. We noticed that once everyone was seated they were given complimentary bread. More time went by and our order was taken. Before we even said anything, they asked if we wanted to have our starters and mains brought out at the same time, this turned out to be a good thing mind you as the wait time was shocking. Made us feel that due to having kids with us they wanted us in and out. The food was okay, wasn’t the worst, wasn’t the best. We then ordered our dessert, which was just two scoops of ice cream. After they took our order for dessert we asked for the bill as we knew it would take forever. 20 mins go and we ask how long it would be and they didn’t even know we had ordered or what was going on. 10 minutes later we finally got our ice cream. The service was absolutely shocking, no communication between staff, no communication with their paying customers, nothing. It was almost like they had forgot about us as sat away from everyone else. The service alone makes us never want to visit again. Changes...

The old William IV pub is a delightful building, retaining all it's character from its heyday. We visited the Neopolitan Kitchen only once, as the service and food were awful. As we saw the restaurant had been re-named we thought we'd try it again. As we saw very positive reviews we were looking forward to it. We visited Saturday evening and were surprised to see it less than half full, so why it took so long to receive a simple starter of meatballs, we couldn't understand. Simple tomato sauce, questionable if it was fresh and the meatballs suspiciously like those in a supermarket. All obviously pre-made and could have been heated and served in minutes. The lamb cutlets were equally unimpressive with no seasoning, served with french beans and 'Mashed' potato??? Since when were mashed potato an Italian speciality? The paccheri pasta with Italian sausage and broccoli was uninspiring with the pasta too aldente' for my liking. On the plus side, the mushroom risotto was amazing and the side of zucchini fritters were very special. Beautiful old pub, sadly everything else...
