I don't leave reviews much but felt I had to for this particular occasion.
We were so disappointed with this restaurant. We're new to Epsom and booked here because of all the wonderful reviews left and invited a few friends to join us (who traveled from Southampton) but I've never been to a worse place. I booked a table for six of us and when we got there, the host took about five minutes to come over to us - standing in the doorway letting the cold breeze come in - and stated there was no table for six. I said "please check again, we definitely booked for six" and he came back and said "yes, six". No apology. There were no tables above four seats available, so took all of us to a four seat table in the corner of the restaurant and pointed at two ladies next to us and said "they will be done soon". They were still eating...
About 10 minutes later, we were finally all seated together, and then the waiter walks off and leaves us without a menu for over 10 minutes. We prompted them to bring over some menus which they did, and then walked off again for another 10 minutes. We ordered some poppadoms and sauces, which were lovely, however three small pots of sauce for six of us soon ran out, and we had to ask another waiter over to us to ask for another tray of sauces. We also noticed there were more poppadoms than we ordered which we didn't eat - not sure if we paid extra for them or not.
So our mains come in an hour after we arrived. They forgot the naan breads that were ordered and took another five minutes to bring them out. The rice was super bland and dry. Three of us ordered chicken tikka masala which I cannot believe was anything other than chicken cooked in a can of tomato soup. It was not what I would ever describe as chicken tikka masala, but it was edible so I carried on. Then I cut into a piece of chicken that had blood inside of it. I swiftly stopped eating after that, as did my two friends who ordered the same. All of this time, not one waiter has come to check on us to see if everything is ok, so the first we point out the blood is when someone comes to clear our plates away. Here's my favourite part; the host came to assess it and parred it off as "this is how we cook chicken here"... My partner laughed, pointed at the blood and said "chicken is not cooked if there's still blood in it!". The host then points at his collar bone and says "this bone here, it looks like that". No. No, no, no it does not. Do you even eat chicken collar bone??
Anyway, they knocked the price of my chicken tikka masala off the bill and we got out of there as soon as we could. We definitely won't be going back and would recommend others to look elsewhere if you want a restaurant that doesn't give you...

Read moreSimply put this is the best Indian restaurant I've eaten at in Surrey!
Compared to other local Indian restaurants there is frankly no comparison. The quality of food here in my opinion is much better. The lamb sekewa or chicken chilli starter are just divine. I can honestly say that everyone I've taken here has agreed with the fact the food is fantastic.
I always like to test the quality of an Indian restaurant by ordering chicken tikka as you can't bury it in a sauce. I can honestly say it's the best I've had. 6 large portions of chicken nicely flavoured! People very rarely finish because it's a very generous portion. The egg rice is wonderful & the naan breads melt in your mouth. I also love the fact that the staff are happy to recommend a dish based on your likes. Some friends who are very fussy with their indian food were all impressed with the recommended dishes.
The owner- Anish always greets my friends & I as well as other regulars which is a nice touch.
This restaurant has more positive reviews on tripadviser than i’d say all other indian restaurants combined in Surrey. If you don't believe me on the quality then go and try...
