Greggs — Restaurant in Erewash

For the love of god please get some more serving staff! Twice now I’ve been in and the same two male and female workers have been in, and both times the poor woman was serving a queue to the door by herself while the guy did other stuff. I’m not saying that what he does is not important or needs doing, I understand there’s deliveries and food that needs going in to keep it stocked up, but if he genuinely has too much to do that he can’t help serve a queue of 9 people who are having to wait close to 20 minutes just to order a sausage roll, then more staff are needed urgently. Both times I’ve seen customers get arsey at having to wait, which I’m not surprised; it really shouldn’t take so long to be served at Greggs, and it isn’t like that at any other Greggs I’ve been to. When there are three other bakeries close by to choose from all that will happen is customers will go elsewhere- I know I’ll be choosing Stacey’s...

I was brought here by my brightside and his small angry trainee at first glimpse it looked like a average Gregg's you would see anywhere this was upon till i made my order which was a bacon roll and a cup of tea, as we waled away the lady behind the till gave me a cheeky smile at that point i thought i pulled. oh how i was wrong! i sat there and enjoyed my bacon roll and move swiftly on to my cup of tea, i was drinking my tea thinking nothing of it upon till i had another mouth full to find out my tea bag had split in side at that point i had many many many tea leaves in my mouth which i spat in to a napkin that landed on to the graggs floor and walked out and proceeded with my day spiting tea leafs for the following 4 hours one of the worst...

Update 03/09 - They seriously need more staff!! Only two people on, on a Saturday morning leading to queues out of the door. Also need to cook more breakfast produce as constantly running out.

Small branch of the well known brand. Can get rather busy at lunch times as you'd expect, but over all a great level of service. Sometimes the more "obscure" varieties of pasties are only like warm however (probably as they're less popular so take longer to shift). I therefore tend to stick to the trusted sausage rolls if I want a hot snack. Breakfasts are great though...and the meal deal with a hot drink makes it...
