I would give this McDonalds 0 stars if I could,
I had time in between work and an appointment so I thought I would nip in here to have something quick and easy for Tea…. Boy was I wrong.
Ordered food last night (20/9/22) at 17:20 , there was no room to wait as there was a few other people there waiting for their food, they looked as if they had been waiting a long time.
During my wait for my food, a man came up to the sever on the till and wanted to make a complaint ( I assume about the wait time) and the server (He had black and orange hair and seemed like he didn’t want to be there at all ) said simply ‘ all the managers are tied up at the moment, I’m not sure what to say.’ the customer then walked off, rightly so. The server kept walking off every 5 mins and most of the workers just kept walking around , basically looking like they didn’t know what was going on. The same server ended up short changing a customer as well. Also during my wait, a lady came to the till and said ive been waiting 20 mins for my food in the drive thru and its still not here yet I need to go, the same server just said well do you want a refund then if we can’t do it? It then came to 17:40, I had been waiting 20 minutes, baring in mind I ordered a quarter pounder, a coke and fries… not exactly rocket science you would think. I didn’t even want it now after that wait lol.
When my order was given to me (by a lady this time) I said to her I’ve been waiting 20 mins for this food you know she said ‘what really?’ as if she didn’t notice a load of people waiting for their food as well, I said well yeah it’s a simple meal and I’ve waited 20 mins for it, she said sorry but with no care in the world. If I didn’t have an appointment to go to I would’ve asked to speak to a manager but I doubt I would’ve got very far anyway. I then sat down to eat my now luke warm tea and the same server kept coming to a customer next to me, talking then walked off after a few minutes . After while I realised it either his girlfriend or friend that he kept leaving the till and talking to.. very unprofessional if you ask me. One point he said to her ‘ I best go back to the till and serve’ like thats not what he was meant to be doing in the first place??
You would’ve thought when it was shut for a refrub they would’ve had some sort of training in place but obviously not, I think all the workers need to be trained again in customer service and how to run a fast food...

My mum has celiac so cant each normal bread, Then the burger came and it wasnt a big mac plus it was cold. The young man that served it said he would tell the manager, he then told me he had checked the till for orders and in the last half hour there hadnt been an order over 4 pounds. As i had online banking i said i could prove i had paid for a big mac large meal. He then went off and came back with a big mac, i explained my mum had finished her chips twenty minutes ago and we were ready to go, so we didnt want this burger. He took it away we then eventually met the assistant manager who said she had personly cooked the latter burger. I said it would have been better if she had introduced herself earlier as my mum had eatten her chips which she likes to eat with her burger. She offered to refund the meal which i accepted. Live locally to this macdonds have been coming her for years and never encounted such appalling service. We had no issue with the young man it was clear he was acting on the assistant managers...

I have been to this branch several times since the refurbishment and I can honestly say the service here has drastically gone down hill for customers who wish to sit in. Each time over 30 minute wait for dishes as simple as pancakes or chicken nuggets. That said if you drive through or use McDonalds delivery service you get your food really quick, walk in customers are now the lowest priority. I tried to address a 30 minute wait politely with the manager today and asked why it’s so bad and this is no good. At that point several other customers stepped forward all saying they have been waiting the same amount of time - the managers response was well delivery and cars are our customers too !! If this is the attitude of management it is little wonder this place has gone down hill to the extent it has for sit in dining, sadly it is anything but Fast Food, avoid unless you have lots of time to spare to wait for your food.
