They should be recognised by the company as great ambassadors for the brand. Funny and offered a great service, we noticed they seem to know all the local customers. Two ladies in particular came in while we were in the bakery, they looked after them with care and took time to spend talking to two ladies in their late 80’s. Unfortunately I got the grumpy and/or sad lady who also doles out the wrong pasty. Havng now read other reviews, both have clearly been a problem - maybe they correlate? 1.10pm on Friday 9th May if that helps. She seemed to think I was being quite daring to try to buy a pasty at lunchtime...shame because I was looking forward to treating myself for a long train journey and this cafe looked lovely. Bought pasties to takeaway, so I can't comment on BB Huthe atmosphere. We asked for two butternut squash and feta cheese pasties (as we are both vegetarian) to take on a bike ride. By the time we came to eat them, we discovered we'd been given one curried vegetable and one lamb and mint! Very overpriced for average size pasties, and one was completely wasted as we were given a meat one! We come to Topsham regularly, but will n buy...
