I don't normally bother with negative reviews because everyone has bad days right đ„ș My husband and I made a trip to Ivybridge yesterday to deliver a mobile phone and shopping supplies to my sister in law who is crippled by agoraphobia and suffering with the Nora virus on her own with 2 small children and 2 puppies and unable to talk to her husband whose in hospital suffering with a side affect from cancer surgery because her mobile is broken. I understand anyone from McDonald's has probably skipped most of what I have written but I am hoping that by writing it I can get closure from how sad and disappointed I am. I spent my whole social/entertainment budget for the month to buy the phone and supplies and travel from mid Devon to Ivybridge just to drop the stuff off on the doorstep as she also has the noro virus. I then proceeded to Plymouth hospital to drop stuff to my brother in a corridor with a 3 metre distance. I stood and watched as he cried because he desperately wanted a hug. I left the hospital in tears so my husband suggested a McDonald's on the way home as a treat. The first order of 2 mega Mac's arrived. The chips were cold and the burgers were little more than thrown together. One had all the contents on the bottom bun with plain layers on top and the other only had 1.5 patties in the buns with the other half Pattie just chucked on the top. We went into the restaurant to complain. The manager came and apologised and proceeded to go off to replace our order. Once back at the car we discovered we still had soggy slightly warmer chips and the burgers although appearing to have all the contents had merely been thrown together. We were to exhausted to go back again so ate about half and disposed of the rest. I wish I had spent my money on a bag of hot salty chips. I forgot to mention McDonald's had no milkshake and no salt!!! So disappointed I wasted...
Read moreAhem. Let me begin with a disclaimer. I am a top tier mc Donaldâs fan and I frequently visit my local maccies however this time I was returning from my luxury vacation. This, however, meant I had to use a different mc Donaldâs restaurant. As I hadnât eaten the whole day due to travelling this meal was extremely important for my whole family. Shocking. Started off small when my beloved mother didnât receive her Rich Tomato Dip and we had to go up to the counter. No big deal, just a slight mishap. However we then noticed something on our tray that we didnât order. We had somebody elseâs chicken wrap which landed on the lap of a vegetarian. How offensive!! So, once again, we returned to the counter to return the wrap just to find one of our burgers were missing pickles! Shock horror! No person should have to suck up and eat a burger they didnât want. Finally, I sat down to eat my well deserved double cheeseburger after my troubles. And guess what. Itâs a mayo chicken disguised as a double cheeseburger. Sticker and all! Unbelievable! Either this mc Donaldâs wants to give away free chicken or something is going horrifically wrong. Upon returning my unwanted burger, I noticed most of the staff were young teenagers who were clearly undertrained and donât know how to read. This experience has left me stunned and frustrated and I shall not return to this location. This doesnât upset me as i am quite afraid of packs of teenagers hanging around in toilets and local people with their bottoms hanging loose. I hope one day this mc Donaldâs will develop and grow to have more literate workers and overall become a better fast food environment. (It wasnât that...
Read moreMy college used to be very close to here so a lot of our lunches were spent here. Always loved a Quarter Pounder with cheese meal! A lot of times since 2012 I have been to and fro in this McDonald's. Meeting up with some amazing friends, sounds very corny but a lot of great memories when I enter. Always had great food here. The fries are really nice, cooked nicely, the right amount of salt. Some places are a little too salty, but it's just right. The burgers have always been constructed really well, not lob sided or spilling out the side. This branch is always pretty busy, so you do get a little bit of a wait. I find sometimes when you order a fizzy drink them to be pretty watery, but again I haven't had that in this branch. I frequent Marsh Barton, so it isn't rare to pop in, get a nice toffee coffee before proceeding my journey. The staff for the most part are always really nice and helpful. I did have a staff member who was really lovely, serve me, to then be interrupted by a staff member in white (I imagine a higher member) quite loudly, tell her off. No idea what the reason, however seemed pretty unprofessional when it was a busy day. After the staff member just smiled like nothing happen, you could see she was close to tears. She was incredible lovely to me through the serve she done for me. Though that's one time. Years of amazing service otherwise. The milkshakes here are always amazing, really delicious and not to frozen. If you are in the Marsh Barton area, it's defiantly worth a visit, please do...
