It was an enjoyable evening of bowling. There is a good selection of bowling ball sizes available. Buffers are available for beginners but they seem to be only manual ones - I prefer the automatic buffers so each player can choose if they want them or not. The venue is ok, if a little tired and I was surprised to find the acrylic 'covid' screens still in place between the lanes three years after the pandemic. The screens give the lanes a claustrophobic feel and make it more difficult for large parties who are using more than one lane to socialise with each other during their bowling. Also, they advertise on their website that they will reimburse you for your parking, but they neglect to tell you that they will only do this if you pay using cash at the parking metres. If you pay using the Ringo app, they will not reimburse you, which is very annoying - who carries cash around for parking these days? A better way would be the method that many hotels use on shared car park sites - enter your registration at the service desk and they will pass it on to the parking company so you don't get a ticket. Other than that, I found the team members to be very friendly and welcoming and I would still recommend this venue to a friend (I'd just warn them about...

Went with a group of friends last night and had a really great time until a gentleman working behind the desk accused the girls in our group of kicking a hole into the female toilets as we were changing our shoes. After stating that it wasn't fair for us to be accused of this the gentleman said that we had no proof that it was not us and therefore demanded we immediately leave. It was deeply upsetting to be spoken to so unkindly about such an unfair accusation, especially considering there was no evidence at all that any of us five girls had done such a thing (especially considering we were all completely sober and not being rowdy at all). We decided to not make a fuss as we were leaving anyway and waited in the doorway away from the cold and rain for our taxi to arrive only to be threatened by a female employee that the police would be called if we didn't leave the premises. The way in which your' employees spoke to us turned an enjoyable evening into a sour one, seeing as all we had done was turn up to the venue, bowl and put our shoes on to get ready to leave. I will not be returning and I will make sure to tell every person I know about how rude and unfair the treatment we received from the venue's...

We booked and went in the schools holidays for the special offer they do on a Sunday night. First off the online booking failed part way through and said I needed to call. Which I did as it wasn't clear whether my card had been charged or not, all was well and the booking was finalised over the phone. When We arrived there where covid measures in place that looked fine including balls allocated to each lane and marked that you couldn't swap. Only problem being someone had taken all of the lightest balls from our lane which ment my 8 yr old daughter struggled to play all night and ruined it for us. Despite several complaints to staff at the time nothing was done about it. As for the place its self its OK but a bit run down, silly things like light bulbs out in the toilet and a bit grubby in general. However what has really bothered me is I have just received my phone bill and the call I had to make due to there website error has cost me over £11. I feel very disappointed and ripped off by the visit and won't...

AVOID! Not only is this an ageing, poorly managed bowling centre but we have just received a fine in the post for parking charges for the carpark.. I booked for the 7 of us to have a bowling session at Tenpin. On arrival, without prior notification, we were directed to two lanes instead of one. This was clearly a cost saving exercise on behalf of the centre and we had to split into a group of 3 and group of 4.. why you would want to play this way I have no idea. Barriers are automatically up on all lanes and it was hard to find assistance to correct this. It was noisy, lacking atmosphere, not very clean and dingy. Bowling is a favourite pastime for us and we have been to so many great centres, it was a shock to see the popularity of this one and it’s clearly based solely on it being the only centre in the vicinity. Really disappointing.

Tenpin Exeter is a bowling alley for sure, but not a good one, due to poor management all round. The reason the ratings are so low is because the food is not only expensive, but absolutely disgusting. I can’t post the video so had to attach a screenshot of this “burger”. Staff is a little confused, entrance feels and smells, a little overwhelming having to bring kids to this bowling alley. Please improve as it makes us not want to spend money here, which is not what a business wants

Good bowling alley with good social distancing measures in place. You can order food and drinks to the alley from your table. Large car park here. I wouldn't visit this one again, just because the atmosphere wasn't as fun as it is at other bowling chains. It was good to pass a bit of time, but with 2 people and 2 games, it was done in 30 minutes. Staff were very friendly and helpful. High standard of cleaning.
