Clever Cookie — Restaurant in Fenland District

My order was not delivered as advised. I kept them updated with the issues of non delivery which they ignored, not once updating me with any issues. When I requested a refund, I received the less than professional response.

'We understand your order hasn’t got to you as planned. DPD have messed up a lot of our orders this week which extremely hard for us and also understandingly frustrating for our customers. We have communicated this through email and our social media stories explaining to allow us sometime to respond and to resolve.

You have been far from understanding constantly bombarding us with emails and telling us about your rights etc, I would appreciate it if you don’t order from us again as we always resolve any issues with our customers who speak to us like we aren’t robots…. And actually give us a chance!

Running a small business in the current circumstances is hard enough as it is without having to put up with customer like you.'

Amy really needs to learn how to communicate when there is a problem rather than getting on her high horse.

I found Clever Cookie during lockdown and my goodness am I glad I did. I’ve ordered a ridiculous number of times; I also have a stash in my freezer so I never run out. The flavour combinations are just amazing. The cookie pies and Cuffins are my favourites, but I think I’ve tried almost everything now and never been disappointed.

Amy is running an incredible business with incredible food. You can taste how much love goes into each product and you just know that it’s going to taste as good as it looks each and every time (trust me - I’ve had a LOT). If you ever have a question Amy responds immediately - she makes you feel like a friend and genuinely wants her customers to be 100% happy with everything they receive.

I’ve recommended Clever Cookie to friends, family and work pals. And I will continue to do so - everything is so delicious (Milkybar mousse cookie pie is a personal fave).

Nice choice of flavours, and fast delivery. If you order a deep dish it’ll be mostly sauce, so it’s likely you’ll love it. However, they are a cookie company, and must be judged as such. The cookie itself is not great tasting, and has a heavy, claggy texture. The taste could only be described, by myself and my entire family, as one of margarine and not much else. We were left feeling that the items are novelty, and not necessarily good quality. We bought one box for a gift, and another for ourselves. However, we wouldn’t order again.

Additionally, defensive responses relating to more negative reviews from the company are a massive red flag. You can be passionate about your company, and accept constructive feedback from customers. Perhaps even learn from them; but that’s their choice. If repeat customers are important, one would...
