My husband & I booked a table for his birthday treat, we was seated straight away then asked would we like to order as she gave us the menu, we asked if we could have chance to look at menu 1st & asked for 2 beers, our drinks eventually arrived & was warm 👎 we was then asked again would we like to order we asked the waitress for a few minutes, 25mins later another waitress came to take our order. My husband ordered the bistecca vesuvio & I ordered polloi alla romana when our meal eventually came my meal was horrible I got 4 small pieces of chicken in what tasted & looked like thick chicken soup with 4 fried mushrooms on top, my husbands meal was just as bad. When a waitress asked if our meals was OK I said no it's horrible, she then looked at me & laughed in my face I was shocked by this she then asked me the same question again & my reply was the same, it's was horrible again the waitress laughed in my face. I had 1 piece of chicken & left all the meal. My husband asked for the bill & we left. We will never return to the restaurant, absolutely disgusting food & very...

A fantastic family dinner.

We took our kids to Vesuvio as it was the place I proposed to my partner over 4 years ago and I'm happy to say it did not dissappoint.

We were asked whether we wanted our kids mains with our starters which was a blessing as it kept them busy whilst we enjoyed our food. The mixed platter was fantastic the sauce in the prawns was amazing and the whitebait was 100% fresh as they tasted fantastic. The kids had a pizza and it was delicious. Very fresh and staff even took the time to interact with our kids which my wife and I really found a great touch.

For our mains we had the pasta which was fresh and I had the marinara which tasted fantastic.

Desserts were a fantastic end to our food journey having the tiramisu which was fresh and made on the day. We ended the meal with a shot of lemonshelo and our full meal came under £100. Definetly a fantastic place for authentic Italian food and great quality...

My wife and I went there and she order spaghetti bolognese. when the dish was brought out, it had 4 large meatballs circling the noodles. she thought that was strange because she didn't remember meatballs last time she ordered it but just assumed that management had changed the presentation of the dish. 3 minutes later, the waitress comes back and says she gave us the wrong dish and has been instructed to take it back. she says she will bring out my wife's proper dish shortly. what was the purpose of bringing the dish back? it had sat on our table for an entire 3 minutes without oversight of any kind. were they planning to serve it to the right customers or something? if not, why waste product by throwing it out when it was close enough to the dish we ordered? at no point did we convey that were not ok with substituting. the whole thing made me question how sanitary...

This restaurant stands out with its extensive variety of food options, surpassing many local Italian eateries. From classic pasta dishes to innovative creations, there's something to satisfy every craving. What's even better is that the prices are great, offering excellent value for the quality and quantity of food served. With such enticing offerings and reasonable prices, it's no wonder why patrons find themselves returning to this establishment time and time again. Whether you're craving a traditional Italian meal or looking to explore new culinary delights, this restaurant promises a satisfying dining experience that keeps guests coming back for more.

Excellent Italian in the heart of Whittlesey. It's got a well-priced, varied menu - including a lunch deal menu with plenty to choose from on it. The service is friendly, the decor is nice (though not super memorable), the bathroom is clean, and the atmosphere has a good vibe. Most importantly, the food is really nice - the callamari and garlic bread were pretty good (nothing special), but the spaghetti bollognese and the chicken/mushroom main dish were both excellent (most pictured). If you're in the area, this place is well worth a visit.

We had our first visit there last night and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is owned by an Italian family who really know their stuff and all the food was excellent. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. I would make sure you book before going as, unsurprisingly, this restaurant is very popular
