A quietly rustic place with plenty of ambiance. We were seated promptly upon arrival and drink orders were taken as we sat. The wife had the prawn and pork belly starter. It was a perfectly combination of flavours and textures. For the mains, she had the delicious filet while I pushed the boat out and had the duck breast with maricino cherry sauce topped with popcorn. It's a playful dish that jumps from sweet to salty in such a way that you say mmm with every bite. This is a wonderful place with a well deserved reputation. Great service, outstanding food and a lovely night.

One of the best restaurants in Tyrone - if not the best at the moment. Without a doubt the top meal we’ve gotten in a long time. The service - all of the staff were so friendly, and in the indoor ambience and decor is vintage. Dessert menu looks great but we were too full to try! Had a pint of birra moretti which was very good, they also had a non alcoholic old mout cider . Food was outstanding and will definitely be back. Can’t wait to try more things on their great menu!

Very accommodating last Friday at short notice, repaired customers van in front of Grants and decided why not eat here. Two lovely steaks and really enjoyed. Thank you for fitting us in... We even scanned ourselves with digital thermometer and had a green light. Nice place and good service with excellent food.

Dined in grants tonight and haven't been for a long time and tonight reminded me why. Hard seats, mediocre food and awful service. Decor dated and toilets wouldn't flush regardless of instructions on ladies wall. Four if us dined,2 starters were ok but the garlic mushrooms were 2 mushrooms halved. 2 steaks were served with veg that looked black although not burned and topped with a peppercorn butter which left everything greasy. The lentil curry was good but unfortunately they same can't be said for the cauliflower steak,it was over seasoned and the whole plate was greasy with flavours that didn't blend. Dessert was good although the bread and butter pudding was tiny. The worst thing was the service, the men's steaks sat quite a while before the ladies got their food and there was no pleasantness from the staff it was do yous want a drink/dessert and one girl in particular came to see if we wanted more drinks and when we said no she lifted one of the Guinness off the table while there was still some in the glass and I had to call her back, granted it was only a mouthful but a mouthful that we were paying for and later on she walked past and lifted a 2nd glass empty this time and done it with attitude. Won't be rushing back, definitely nothing special for the food we received and definitely not...

My first time eating here with my 3 kids and wife as part of the 'dine out to help out promotion. First coming in was a very warm welcome and we were quickly seated. The menus was through taking a picture on your phone. Very up to date. The kids got from kids menus of burger and chips (skinny) and chicken gouchons (real chicken inside). Its seemed good as they ate it all. My wife had the steak burger and chips. Delicious she said and just right amount. I pushed the boat out and got the top rated Boston beef fillet. It was mash with two fillet 4oz of beef with delicious sauce and gravy and tabacco unions. Some more vegetables would have been nice. I took some of my wife's red cabbage which tasted great. For dessert the kids got chocolate brownies, wife got sticky toffee pudding and I got pavlova. All tasty. Although there was a promotion on I would have no hesitation going back another time paying full price as it was worth it. Well...

Decent enough restaurant. Dated decor and no amazing buzz or atmosphere about the place but the food was tasty, hot and service was good. A late Sunday dinner, no roast beef so had to opt for a steak. I am from Omagh originally but live in the Derry City / Donegal part of this amazing land. I wasn't paying for this meal but I was shocked at how much more expensive it was than eating out in Derry. I can say that the meal was definitely 50% more expensive than a very similar meal in the Derry. All in all a decent meal, had never eaten in Grants b4 and would definitely be happy to return. Lost a star because of their pricing but that's because I am used to prices in the Maiden city where food is cheaper, drink is cheaper, taxis are cheaper than most other places in the North and definitely than anywhere south...
