We stopped by for a quick bite, and the sushi bar was quite busy with many takeout orders and all tables occupied when we arrived. This place has the best reviews in town, but I would rate it 4 stars and here's why. Our order was taken inattentively, and when the food arrived, some items we ordered were missing. We had to wait quite a long time for the rolls, which usually take 10-15 minutes to prepare. The miso soup looked a bit off with foam on top, though it tasted fine. The food was fresh and delicious, but the overall experience was slightly disappointing. Maybe I am being too picky, but I wouldn't give it 5 stars. This is the only place I've tried in this town, so perhaps it is great compared to others, but I can't say for sure.

Really great to see Folkestone town finally getting some exciting new restaurants. Seen this had opened a while ago and finally it to try their offerings. A big Korean food fan it was interesting to see the similarities and differences in the JB Sushi bar. Nice intimate ambience, friendly gently serving staff… sooo much choice great to try a range of different foods so we ordered starters, mains and desserts ! Fresh tasty and very moreish .. loved the crispy rolls and the tempura rolls … my spicy teriyaki ramen bowl was comforting and just spicy enough with plenty of chicken and veggies as well as fried noodles too… with drinks it was only £50 for the two of us … we will definitely be back!

The Folkestone Poke bowl was delicious and good value at £9.85, but next time, I will pay the additional £2 to select my own toppings and dressings. We had 3 amazing starters: chicken karaage (chicken nuggets), miso aubergine, and seaweed salad. We also had grilled eel, which was too good to share, be warned Mrs D. The entrance door and small restaurant are accessible but the narrow single toilet is up 5 stairs. Acoustics are good considering the open plan space.

The Folkestone Poke bowl was delicious and good value at £9.85, but next time, I will pay the additional £2 to select my own toppings and dressings. We had 3 amazing starters: chicken karaage (chicken nuggets), miso aubergine, and seaweed salad. We also had grilled eel, which was too good to share, be warned Mrs D.
