Lucky Inn Chinese Takeaway — Restaurant in Folkestone and Hythe District

Awful dried up pre cooked gawd knows how long ago bad food...why can i not find a decent chinese anywhere in folkstone...this place is dibolical..we ordered, egg fried rice,, just boiled dried rice,. No taste whatsoever.. Noodles...these were dried up like straw. Ordered king prawn sweet n sour. We got chicken, which doesnt even look like its seen a chicken..gray stringy stuff inside, over cooked and chewy, my daughter just had another mouthful of the noodles and just spat them out on her plate...as im writing this...the seaweed has a wierd taste and considering it is just bit if fried cabbage is way overpriced .the salt and chili chips are just a load of dried cooked days ago frozen chips with some chilis thrown over..how hard is it to cook fresh chips throw them in a pan with chilis.. the only thing that tasted okay was the curry sauce and free prawn crackers.. what another disappointment..i cannot believe ive lived in folkstone a year now..must of tried 10 chinese takeaways...this is one of the worst .although we had high hopes and the lady serving is cheerful and the entrance of the shop is done lovely and looks 10 /10.. unfortunatly food is only 2/10..WASTE...

Not the best but not the worst chinese. Tried because usual was shut :( Tofu in blackbean sauce, was very sweet and didnt seem to have any black beans in at all. Also satay chicken which was quite spicy but again not the worst by any means. Rice was as you'd expect and spring rolls were nicely cooked. Would i use again? Maybe but only if new wok express just down the road in cheriton is shut as thier...

I went here when working away. I can't compare it to anything in the area, but it is much better than what I get in Cambridgeshire. The beef with Thai basil was amazing. Sadly they don't take card payment so I had to order through Just Eat (as I didn't have cash) which made it more expensive than it should have been.
