Himalayan Cafe & Takeaway — Restaurant in Folkestone and Hythe District

I am very disappointed with the service. Firstly they got my order wrong which I let go. Then I heard the waitress complain about us after she took our order and was walking away. I would give 0 star but it’s not possible so I gave 1 star.

Please read my review properly before sending such replies. I said I let go of the wrong order but your waitress complaining and grumbling about the customer.. is that the right mindset of someone who works at customer service? Also the people there saw it too, please don’t lie for the sake of a review. I never said you guys don’t work hard but working hard doesn’t give you the right to be rude to the customer. I value your service therefore I visited there often and paid for your services. But I chose to go there and pay for service to have a good time and not have a waitress mumble and grumble about me ruining the experience. This Nepali restaurant stood out. Aloo Nimki, Steamed Momos, Fried Momos and Fried Rice were the best but the chicken curry, noodles and parathas were a bit of a let down. Cost is justifiable for the number of items bought with decent portions.The waitress gave us the extra chutney only after reminding her twice but the owner genuinely apologised for the delay. The place was cramped but neat. The toilets floor were filled with water with no warning signboard (which might harm customers and the business). Parking was easily accessible.

We were visiting Folkestone and I happened to see this restaurant on the map as I was looking for Nepali cuisine. It was one of the only ones open before 4pm and decided to head here. Absolutely delicious food, right bang on taste. Very close to home and my nitpicking husband felt the thukpa was as close to home as it could.
