Was in the are today and thought we would stop here for some dinner. We was not dissapointed the food was fantastic the mix grill was huge all perfectly cooked and banging. The mrs has lasagne real homemade huge bit was also fantastic proper pub grub not like all the fancy crap you get now days just good grub. Our server was lovely and so helpful. We will deff be returning.

We're down for a short break and popped in here for a late lunch. Despite them finishing lunch service they were happy enough to accommodate us. Food was amazing, fresh and hot! Drinks were great. And amazing super service. Thanks for fitting us in. We'll be back.

Had a great 2 course meal, a little pricey but quality of food was very good! And they allowed dogs, fantastic. Nice small outside patio area at front and pool table and sky football!

Was told that the Sunday carvery was good from a neighbor so thought I would try it out with my partner and mum. Bear in mind we had never been there before. We got there and the bar staff were busy behind the bar, and it seemed a good five minutes before anyone asked if they could help. We finally got shown to the dining area and was handed over to a waitress who's first day it was at the job. We know this because she looked very nervous and I asked her if it was her first day, which she confirmed. We got shown to a table and we couldn't pull the chairs out as it was too close to the tables and chairs either side of it and had to asked other customers to basically get up and move their table so I could just sit at our table. Finally seated the nervous waitress takes our drinks order and there is no sign of our drinks for 15 minutes. Eventually I ask another waitress where is our drinks and when can we go and get our meal. She was very good and sorted our drinks straight away and got our tickets for our meal. When we sat down my mum was blinded by a spotlight shinning right in her eyes and had to get up to turn it away. The meats were good but the shredded cabbage was chewy (obviously frozen) not cooked enough, the yorkshire pud was frozen not homemade, the roast potatoes were awful. Firstly the potato tasted old and had been deep fried and brought out in an oven tray to make it look like they come from the oven. They were probably put in the oven to keep warm because the skin was hard and chewy and what oil did they cook them in as they were yellow in color and didn't look roasted! The broccoli was too crunchy, may as well have been raw, but the cauliflower cheese was good. Now I am a vegetarian and on the carvery menu it says vegan option. They only had meat option and nothing else but I thought it doesn't matter too much as I'll fill up on all the lovely veggies (more fool me) and when I went to put my gravy on, they again only had a meat option gravy, so not vegetarian or vegan friendly at all. Also my mum loves a nice cup of tea and what she got when she finally got it was "filthy", my mum's words, she couldn't drink it after the first sip. We would have ordered some dessert but going by the quality of the meal we decided against it. When paying I told the lady at the till that I had no vegetarian option and only had veg and she did put my meal as a child's meal.... So it should be. Anyway as you can see I was not impressed at all and highly recommend YOU DO NOT go here for a decent carvery. I'm flabbergasted that there are any good reviews for this carvery, if you go it's at your own risk...

I went today as I booked a table and was looking forward to a nice Sunday lunch . The pub was full and we got taken to our table by a lovely waitress . Got given our tickets and went to get our food . There was only an end bit of turkey left which got carved for my husband an I, myself chose beef , which again was the last bit . We helped ourselves to vegetable which looked lovely too and returned to our table . To our disappointment the meat was dry and not even warm, so were the vegetables , the carrots where actually cold ! We decided not to eat the meal and asked for the bill . The waitress asked if something was the matter and I explained that the food was luke warm to which she apologised . The manageress was called and she assured us the meal was not cold as she put her fingers in it ( yuck) and started getting defensive and threatened us with police if we didn’t pay( we asked for the bill already) . I have never been treated like a criminal because we stated that sadly the food was cold . I shall never visit the plough again ever!!! I may suggest some customer service training for the manageress ! Appalling...

Have eaten in here a few times and never had a problem, lovely food and great service beforehand.. came in on Sunday and had a totally different experience. My child’s food order that came out looked absolutely disgusting and certainly wasn’t homemade as advertised (was advertised as homemade tomato pasta but 100% was Heinz spaghetti from a tin) I asked to change it as it wasn’t what I expected. We then heard the kitchen staff slagging us off saying we can’t just pick and choose to swap meals off the menu, I hope she knows she’s still paying for that. Very unprofessional. They kept sending this poor young girl out to us, after we told her our concerns as she asked how everything was she came back out to us and said they will apologise if we want them to 😂 again how unprofessional, You should of come out and faced it yourselves and apologised after being caught out, not sending your poor young workers out to face the brunt. Anyway that will be our last visit in here unfortunately and if you’re going to have an open kitchen at least wait until your customers have left the premises before...
