Caspian Kebab — Restaurant in Gateshead

While it's normally fantastic one member of staff tried over charge me so I pointed it out, since then he gives me a dirty look and tonight had serve and prepared my food the wrap was half the normal size usually very big and tightly wrapped tonight it was half the size very lose I had to re wrap it at home, and he just put it on the counter and walked off rather than actually hand it to me, sorry caspian team I've used you since the 90s but am done plenty other takeaways on the front street sorry to the good team but one staff member can cast you loyal customers, UPDATE after a few months of not using caspian we started buying from here again delivery drivers are brilliant and food is pretty much spot on had bad experience with cake n puddings not nice dry cake and very small portions one piece of cake was paper thin must have been the last pieces, kebab meat is very greasy full of nasty fat at the bottom of the tray , but the final straw was ordering late but still accepted order but never delivered it so we where left with no food at midnight I spoke to them and apparently they tied to deliver my camera says otherwise and also tied tell me the driver left it at my back door like my note said, I left no note and you can't get my back door, I arranged for the food to be delivered the nxt night with a great person in the shop food arrived but driver asking for payment as noone told him it was already paid, it's a shame the once great caspian is so disorganised the original owner would be annoyed if he knew, looks like I'll be stopping my custom av given them way too...

Food has always being top quality when ordering from here, we've always rang or used the app but I wouldn't recommend using the app as used it the last 3 times of us ordering & I've had to ring to make sure they've actually received the order because the app has said 'processing' then straight away said 'archived' or 'on hold' which obviously has resulted in me ringing to make sure they'd received order as they had taking money from account, its not actually a biggy & I'm not complaining but some people use the app if they have no credit to actually call to place there order so isn't as technical as you'd want it to be. Also last night's order when yet again ringing to make sure they had received it they told me 15 minutes for collection, we turned up 20 minutes after & they still hadn't started half the order so once eventually sorted some of the order was fresh & the rest was soggy due to sitting wrapped up & in a bag. These are little things don't get me wrong but I'm just leaving an honest review. Ordered at 11:30, stated it closed at 11:45 for delivery. Now 1am and they just haven’t bothered showing up. When they get it right it’s the best value and food around, but over the last 3 months I’ve had 3 incorrect orders and this one just hasn’t shown up despite paying for the food. CCTV on the house also confirms no delivery was attempted. If you want to gamble, then you’ll either get the best kebab in the area, or you’ll get the wrong order, or no food at all. I’d rather pay somewhere where my food actually turns up than gamble on either it being incorrect (despite allergies being advised), or not...
