The Metropole — Restaurant in Gateshead

At last they have a proper karaoke DJ on the Mondays and Saturdays that I have been in recently, August 2023. I was fed up of the ear shatteting volumes and rubbish sound balance from a previous DJ. I hadn't sung in public for a few years due to covid so it helped to have it a bit of quiet in the pub.. The system is now clear and audible. Also the Fosters is an amazing pint, best I have had anywhere... and cheap night Mondays.

Not as busy as it used to be but better that way than folks falling over each other and not listening to your singing.

Very appreciative audience for my karaoke singing and other singers and the lady DJ was a good singer as well. Sometimes they're rubbish you know, ha ha!!!! Get there and do a few songs please. Really nice bar in central...

Bar manager was extremely rude to me and my friends, very impolite, showed me up infront of the entire bar, all because I had physical pain with my hernia, I had to rearrange my boxer shorts to relieve my discomfort, on discreetly confronting the manager she was not understanding of my situation when my friend intervined to explain my condition she again was rude and man handled her and asked us to leave.... also I think Tracey the manager was on drugs, as her jaw was swinging and she was very tense and...
