KC's Cafe and cob shop — Restaurant in Gedling

I’m writing this review to let you know that KC’s Cafe on Main Rd,Gedling is an incredible find with an extensive menu including mouth watering daily specials, takeaways, freshly filled rolls and a wide range of home made cakes to die for. All these delicacies can be washed down with barista coffees and in my case a big pot of tea. The portion sizes and the prices are simply, excellent value for money. Recently I attended another one of their themed Bistro evenings, held every second Saturday throughout the year. This Greek evening offered up FOUR authentic and delicious courses, all freshly prepared and for JUST £25. You can also bring your own booze!!! I’ve become a big fan of these evenings as have many others and it’s definitely best to book way in advance. They have a lengthy list of future events and I’m particularly looking forward to next Italian and Spanish evenings. The cafe has a cozy and inviting ambience and the garden is lovely. Staff, one of who seemed to be the owner, were unfriendly (except the young bloke who was doing some DIY - he seemed friendly). Appeared to scowl at us when we walked in. Waitress seemed frustrated that I had a quick glance at different menu just as we were ordering (because I didn't realise there was two entirely different menus), and did not take my drink order. They also got my Mum's order wrong by missing the tomatoes off. I immediately saw the lady run off with her bag, so I'm assuming she was itching to go on break.

Food was mid. £30 for our three meals, plus drinks.

Decorated nicely. Seemed a tight squeeze but cosy. It was really cold in there though, and noticed a few tables sat with coats still on.

Also, a few comments were made about someone else's review - about the clutter. Seemed quite unappreciative of customers leaving reviews of their experience. Don't think thats a great look.

Kc's cafe is situated on Main Road, Gedling bottom of Westdale Lane, Gedling. Throughout the months the cafe arange various pop up themed nights based on different countries for example Spanish Tapas, French, Mexican and Greek nights. The food is exceptional and good value for money. Servings are very generous and the dishes are authentic, I have to say the chef is very talented. The owners put their heart and sole into the themed evenings, the cafe doesn't currently hold an alcohol licence and advise their customers to bring their own soft/alcoholic drinks.
