The Kensington — Restaurant in Gedling

Went for the first time last night (June 2015). The pub specialises in fish for its mains and starters with some interesting items. It also caters for some '2 for £10' meals, some of which are locally sourced, which I like a lot. Not feeling incredibly hungry, I tried an offering from the 2 for 10 selection and was pleasantly surprised; well cooked, well presented, nicely seasoned and subtle tastes. My good lady had the salmon which she said was the best she'd had for years. It’s a bit more expensive than other pubs in the area, but then there's a lot more to it and its clean and tidy. Definitely going back with a view to trying some of the fish dishes. ...

I have just read the review I wrote after we came for a meal for Bryan's 80th Birthday. Decided to write a more update review. Came last Sunday for lunch three of us, Meal still wonderful the fish was devine, the atmosphere happy & relaxed, the staff, although extremely busy always cheerfull & helpful. Ate too much. could not resist the Strawberry & apple crumble. Gorgeous. Well done to Beccky & all the team. you are our favourite place to eat, it is a treat every time....

Excellent Carvery today for our group of 12 , adults and children . Had booked in advance , and so pleased we found this 3 miles from Nottingham Centre . Best Beef tasted for years and vegetables so fresh and tasty . Cauliflower cheese and parsnips in particular .
