5* pub ... very friendly,clean, safe pub to bring the whole family to wether In the day or evening. Since the new landlady and her staff took over 6 months ago they have managed to turn this pub back round to the best around pub in Notts. The pub quiz on Thursday is exciting and incredible fun with an excellent host in Joe. Exceptional value for money and great offers on all through the week. Fantastic entertainment in the evening at the weekend and a perfect venue to watch all sports which can be split across the numerous screens through the pub. The arrival of a pool table has topped the lot. Its perfect for business meetings, funeral wakes, birthday and celebration parties.... I truly cant fault one thing. The venue has had its ups and downs over the years, but thankfully, the new landlady is brining the pub back to its former glory.

Heineken also has its own frosted glasses, which makes the larger actually quite nice - I generally avoid it in fairness.

There is also a private bar area in the secret garden that is available for hire.

Downside - They dont do food, other than bar snacks, but in fairness, I dont think it would be cost effective for them, so completely...

For a small public house, the landlady has swept through this establishment with a fine brush and removed all the drug user's and hooligans who wanted to fight every weekend. It's now a fine establishment where people wish to drink, they even have a Secret garden, but don't tell anyone for those who want to drink in the fresh air.
