Went through the drive thru this evening at 20.50, I was still in the drive thru at 21.16. When I finally got to the payment window I was met by a miserable 'thats £17.95'. Now I've worked in customer service myself for a long time and know that when you have customers waiting for longer than expected the first thing you do is apologies. But no nothing of the sort. So I asked...' what's with the 25minute wait?' the response...'i don't know miss'. Still no apology, that was simply it. Correct me if I'm wrong but I do believe this is supposed to be a fast food restaurant. And you would like to think a company as big as McDonald's would be able to provide at least adequate customer service, but apparently not. I then got to the collection window, still no apology and i asked this gentleman the same question...'they are a bit slow in the kitchen' was the response.
I'm sorry but not good enough. When it is visible that there are 4 staff chatting doing absolutely nothing when it's clearly busy and you have at least 15 cars waiting in the drive through it's a Micky take. When you have the customer service skills of a roadkill squirrel, it's not good enough. When you leave a customer waiting for 25 minutes for 'fast food' those customers become more than a little peeved. After waiting for so long, and receiving poor customer service you can imagine one would be more than a little annoyed. I expressed that the customer service was poor, and what was I met with....well firstly let's start with what I should of been met with. An employee keen to listen to the issue, offer the customer a direct line to make a complaint or effort to resolve that complaint there and then...or at the very minimum an apology. Now let me tell you what I was met with, a huff and then he turned is back to me and completely ignored me! Not only is that poor customer service but it's just plain rude and disrespectful. If I was shouting or getting aggressive I would understand, but I simply made a statement of ' the guy on the other window really needs to sort out his customer service'. On an ending note I am extremely disappointed in the service this evening as a whole, if that was my team behaving like that I would be extremely ashamed and disappointed. Simply...

The staff here don't particularly care how they speak to you, it's loud, overcrowded and drive through orders usually mean waiting in the car park for 15 minutes so as not to reflect badly on their timed systems or in other words:
'how long they keep you waiting'
Someone has to answer for that somewhere along the line.
(worth remembering next time you get pushed on)
Maybe you don't go to McDonald's expecting the Hilton experience' but when 2 meals are costing you close to £18 you do expect food that's atleast hot, tastes half way decent and vaguely resembles what you paid for - I'm sure there's a trading standards law somewhere that says something about that...
Unfortunately our burgers arrived looking like they'd been thrown in a bin, cold and dry with a slop of salad saturated in sauce similar to something I wouldn't care to mention on a public forum dripping out the side.
We emailed the store manager and sent photos of our meals including our receipt concerned about the low quality of the food & service we received. No reply, no acknowledgement, not even a simple 'I'm sorry about your experience how can we make it right'
I'm sure they have little care that they've lost another customer because that's basically how McDonald's has become.
Big corporations make no apologies to upsetting a person's day anymore unless it makes a real problem for their percentages at the end of the month I know that much.
This is a disappointing place to spend your money and I truly hope whomever is reading this goes elsewhere, spend your money on a business that cares a bit more about 'you' the...
Read moreHad a bit of time before a hospital appointment so decided to stop for a "quick" breakfast at McDonald's with my daughter. Thought to myself that we'd have plenty of time to order, eat and run to get to appointment on time. Ordered from the kiosk as we went in. Seen about 6 people waiting for food. Anyhow, ordered myself a double sausage and egg McMuffin as I think they are the only superior breakfast/lunch item to come out of McDonald's. Time was ticking on and the more nervous I got. From the point of receipt until our number being called was 26 minutes. I only had a spare half hour! Whacked my hash brown in my breakfast muffin which as mentioned before was an absolute mouth watering delight. My daughter had pancakes and syrup which was stone cold as soon as it came out. I would normally go and ask for this to be sorted but was on a very short time limit. Disappointed for my daughter and totally disappointed with the time taken. No staff members apologised for the wait or explained to anyone what the reason was. As I work in a fast food restaurant myself it was sad to see that customer service wasn't a priority and serving cold food without an apology was a failure on their part. Not somewhere I will be planning on returning...
