We went to visit on a prebooked tour. What an amazing building! Coffee in the cafe then onto a tour of the building with lots of interesting tales about its history and the occupants, a very varied group of characters they were. The guide was excellent, both charming and knowledgeable. Soon to be added will be a Civil War section. Did you know how the City changed the course of English history? The only downside being the noise levels in some areas, nothing that a little training of volunteers won't cure. Altogether an experience not to be missed when visiting the historic City...

Visited today, im not sure if they're closing down or remodelling but there was hardly anything to look at, alot of the disaplays were empty and some of the rooms had random bits of clutter piled up in the corners 😳 a few of the rooms where closed off including all the parts outside like the old sweet shop and again they were piled with clutter.
