The Four-Ale Taproom — Restaurant in Gosport

Nipped in for a sharpener whilst waiting for a table to be available at the New Bengal Restaurant down the road. There were 2 of us so we had 4 off 1/2 pints of various ales which were placed in a wooden cut out receptacle thing, so they could be carried easily. Each beverage had a handy number next to it so you knew what you were drinking. The ales were very agreeable and reasonably priced. The vibe was great and I very much enjoyed it's set up and Decor. One drink that i ordered, the Cockerel (as it said on the board that it was french) i ordered with the french pronunciation "cockerēl" and was told "the cōckráll" to my embarrassment by the bar lady, was particularly pleasant. The downsides to this place. Well there aren't any apart from it is cashless, so is promoting a dystopian future, perhaps Starmergeddon. And chuck...

Me and my husband are regular visitors to this small but perfectly formed Tap Room. This place has a great relaxed atmosphere. It's cosy and chilled out and super if you are a true real ale and craft beer lover! We always invite family and friends to join us and work our way through the ever changing and exciting drinks menu. The bar snacks are of good quality and super tasty, or as a quirky touch you can order your takeaway to be delivered at the bar and eat in!

Simon and Shannon are so knowledgable and really make the place special! They are friendly and passionate and there to help you try new things!

What an absolutely brilliant place this is. My dad and i nipped out for a quick pint when I was down visiting and although he had never been in before...I think he's found a new favourite place!

Really friendly staff who were very knowledgeable about the huge amount of quality kegs they have on the go and really all well priced too.

As an added bonus we happened to wander in on a night where a trio were performing some live sea shanties at the front of the venue which we loved.

If you like great drinks in a friendly atmosphere this is the place for you and we will definitely be back on my next...
