Wanted to try this restaurant as live in Poynton and love an Italian. However this was the worst service I think I’ve ever experienced (not trying to be those typical angry customers who pick at every little thing because I really want to like this place). I would also say, please bear in mind we visited two weeks after opening so it could change in the future! To start, we waited 30 minutes for drink and to order food. Was then told drink went to another table as the manager/owner (not sure) took them to other tables without looking at the ticket for who they were for. When we told our server, she was really nice and got us the drinks straight away. Then waited an hour for food, was brought our mains, and we hadn’t even had our starters yet !! At that point we just went with it, ate the food (which I will say was lovely) and asked for bill. The bill came with our starters still on, so the manager had not even bothered to tell anyone or remove them! We asked him over, to which he made excuses for the whole night and never once said sorry or tried to right anything. He did say that he would remove the drinks and starters that we didn’t receive off of the bill, however after I paid, I noticed he didn’t remove the drinks at all, and had ran off upstairs (only notice after left). To add, the table to the back of us left after 30 minutes of waiting and not ordering and the table to our right waited about an hour to get their starters cleared from table.
I will say our server was lovely and apologetic, food was lovely, but the manager seemed very rude and condescending. Hope everyone else has a...
Read moreMenu is massive so should be something for everyone - pretty typical British-Italian options rather than authentic Italian. Prices seem reasonable for pizza and pasta but everything else is a bit pricy (we paid £9 for a starter which was an underwhelming portion of cheese on a bit of chargrilled pepper). Food was decent but nothing more than that. Atmosphere was good on a Saturday night although the tables were a bit cramped downstairs. Service was poor, we arrived on time but had to wait 15 minutes to be seated so just had to stand awkwardly next to the bar whilst waiters and the owner buzzed around us without giving us an update on how long it would be before the table was ready. After being seated it took another 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive and that was only after chasing up the waiter, but the food did...
Read moreCrazy busy New Year’s Eve service. Felt a little overbooked and restaurant possibly Put themselves in a spot by limiting table times. We had 1.5 hours for a table of 2.
We had booked weeks ago for 7pm. We arrived promptly then stood in a busy restaurant beside people already dining for 40 minutes. It was obviously stressful for pretty much everyone in there!
However, after finally being seated our order was taken promptly and food arrived quickly. The food was very good despite the kitchen being overrun.
If it was any other evening I wouldn’t return, but I want to give these guys another chance as they were doing their best in pretty trying circumstances. Will def go back as the space, service and food...
